I could imagine myself getting that angry under the right set of circumstances. Firstly, I would have to be tired from a long day. Secondly, I would have to be playing a character that took a lot of effort to 'realise'. Thirdly, it would have to have been the 3rd of 4th time the lighting guy had walked in my field of vision. Fifth, I would have to be on a 10th+ take.
But man, he really does lose it. Pretty hilarious how its spread around the world like a virus. Any word on who was recording? (I guess it was probably just mics from the set and a sound guy was feeling adventurous)

I for one would love the chance to work with a guy like Bale, who is incredibly dedicated to his craft.
Seriously. If he's in an emotional scene and he has someone fucking around, who HAD been a problem on the set, Bale was well within his rights to vent. I have had people interfere with my processes before and I've come unglued, worse than what Bale has so I applaud his restraint.
Christian Bale is a good actor, and dedicated to the work which makes this rant nothing in the big scheme of things. I'd hire him to work on anything I had for the simple fact that his entire persona is involved in the shoot.

I agree. The creative process can often get emotional, and shouting matches are apt to be forgotten five minutes later. The media makes too much of a deal of absolutely nothing. Bale is an intense actor, and that's his "charm."

"Christian Bale just finished publicly begging for forgiveness for that F-bomb filled, on-set explosion, saying he took it "way too far" and he only did it because he "cares too much" about the movie.
Bale called in to to L.A.'s"Kevin & Bean" morning radio show on KROQ and spilled his guts on the incident apologizing like crazy and explaining how things were never going to get violent with the guy he verbally attacked because the dude is a huge "ex friggin' football player ... not little orphan Annie!"
Oh, and he really wants you to see his next movie."
