Sailor Of Mind & Time
After tediously hunting down every second hand bookstore & raping their shelves for any title that merely suggested UFO's or the Paranormal, I was of the belief i'd grabbed all that was on offer....Until I visited a little second hand antique shack; I was so very wrong with my assumption.

In just 10 minutes & upto my waist in assortments of books of everykind, I managed to turn up:

*Encounter - Kelly Cahill
*The Worlds Greatest Alien Abduction Mysteries - Chancellor Press
*Majestic - Whitley Strieber
*Transformation - Whitley Strieber
*Messages From Space - Jay Goldner
*The Oz Files - Bill Chalker
*Close Encounters Of The Fourth Kind - C.D.B Bryan
*Chariots Of The Gods - Erik Von Daniken
*Return Of The Gods - Erik Von Daniken
*UFO'S: A Report On Australian Encounters - Keith Basterfield
*UFO'S Are Real: Here's The Proof - Edward Walters & Bruce Maccabee
*Vital Signs - Andy Thomas

Cost me only $30.30 AUD & also made my day, week, month & year!

You should browse eBay for UFO book lots. I picked up about 50 paperbacks from the 60s and 70s for about $40US.

Congrats on the treasure find!

Wow, those are a ton of great books at a great price. I really enjoyed that C.D.B Bryan book as well as the Strieber books. I've heard The Oz Files is awesome. Also read and enjoyed that Bruce Maccabee book back in the day but since Maccabee seems to be about the only person who still vouches for Walters...I don't know. I really respect Bruce but I think Ed might've pulled a fast one over on him.
I bought a book tonight for $2 + $2 shipping. It's about what is known as the Philip Experiment. A group in Toronto created a fictitious character complete with a history and named him Philip. They then started having seances to try and contact this made up person. It eventually resulted in rappings, tables moving, etc. There was psychic phenomena occurring but since Philip never existed they felt they were the ones who were creating it. Anyway, very interesting experiment. Can't wait to read about it. Amazon had the out of print book listed for $76- LOL! So getting it for $2 off of ebay made me happy.

That sounds absolutely fascinating, I remember reading about that experiement on probably paranormal.about.com or something similar to that; so let us all know what it's like i'm dying to hear how it turns out as a read. :)

& if it's well worth it, I might just pick up a copy myself! :D

Goodie, do you find a lot of the more obscure or older Ufo-related stuff was only in print in the US? If so, I bet the Ebay shipping costs to Australia would be as much as the price of the book, huh?!

Yes of course Brian, all the BETTER books pertaining to UFOlogy are based in the U.S...The pricing could be a pain but i'll work around it I'm sure :).

You might want to look at: http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php

Maybe you could trade some old paperbacks you don't want for out of print ones you do.
