Invisible Extraterrestrials? World-Leading Physicist Says "They Could Exist in Forms We Can't Conceive"

The intriguing remark was made by Lord Martin Rees, a leading cosmologist and astrophysicist who is the president of Britain’s Royal Society and astronomer to the Queen of England. Rees, who last month hosted the National Science Academy’s first conference on the possibility of alien life, said he believes the existence of extra terrestrial life may be beyond human understanding.
“They could be staring us in the face and we just don’t recognize them. The problem is that we’re looking for something very much like us, assuming that they at least have something like the same mathematics and technology."

This kind of goes along with the theory that they could be inter-dimensional beings that are part of a different universe that exists right next to our own.

I think the most interesting part of that article is Frank Drake throwing SETI under the bus by inadvertantly suggesting something most of us (on this board at least) have accepted for a long time, namely an advanced alien civilzation might not be using analog radio. UH-DUR!

Remember folks if you have read Mr Timmothy Goods book 'Above Top secret' (1988) ( excellent book) you would undstand this is not new regarding hypothies about the eiltes knowing the bigger picture and your comments regarding 'Oueen's Astronomer Knows Something' as mentioned by CapnG. 8)

You just have remember the common folks are not aloud to know as its not your birth right!:D

Isn't it baffling how scientists can't think outside the box? I mean the way our technology is improving and changing, we might not be using radio before too long. So ... that would be what?? A hundred years of radio or something ... just a tiny blip in time. I look forward to quantum entanglement television, radio and internet tv. You'll be able to watch crap tv programs on the net that much faster :D ...

ps Martin Rees is down here in NZ this month (couple of weeks I think) giving a public lecture. Hmmm ... wonder if I'll be brave enough to ask a question?? Nahh probably not :D

I'm reminded of a comment that Jacques Vallee made that went something like "What we are finding is that our universe seems to be a subset of something else."

Rees is brave to open the door with such a public statement, although I suspect that most scientists and the public will ignore it with the exception of those who are aware of developments in theoretical physics and some of the other sciences.
