This is the thread for all communications pertaining to this or that. See post #30 on 8/25/26 for summary of what this thread is about.

@Randall Just a suggestion - it would help if you prefaced each video with date of publication, video running time and channel source, as well as supplying a brief précis, at least, regarding content. Best would be timestamps for a complete notation of content.

It is exceptionally time consuming for someone to watch every video. A written article can be scanned, but not so a video.

Most of 'em are fairly short. I watched them all. I don't expect anyone else to do the same.

The first video is 20 minutes - that's a hunk of time and it covers a few disparate subjects.
Sure — it's alt news.
So it can cover whatever it wants in whatever length of segments it wants.
Personally — I found it all interesting.
Jaxxen is an excellent investigative journalist.
Besides — Nobody has to watch it if they don't want to.

My point was that a preci - a breakdown, a summary of the topics covered in the video - would be helpful for people. Not everyone can dedicate even 20 minutes watching a video on the off-chance something will interest them. Just seems like a good practice as a courtesy.

I see your point, but also don't have time for half the time I already spend here, let alone provide formatted content as if I was a paid agent or reporter — but I'm not, so I'll decide to include text with video links when I feel up to it — and that will have to be good enough ( for now anyways ).

BTW — When I was an admin — sometimes I'd actually insert that stuff myself ( for other people ), as well as fix typos and break text walls into readable paragraphs. Feel free to do the same with mine. If you don't have the time for that either — I get it.

If Gene defects to our side of the resistance, maybe I'd take an interest in coming back onboard and helping with all that.

You don't have time to write synopsis Randall and attend all those anti vaccinations protests.

It's not that hard - I do it all the time for my FB feed. Usually the original creator supples all the info in their show notes. Copy-and-paste.

Will not be doing that. People can do that for them selves.

Since I have you both @Randall and @Richard Hawkins - and maybe even @Burnt State and @Red - might we have a huddle?

Regarding sizing. I'm aware that when we post we don't always know what size the graphic is going to be - when that happens to me - a humongous graphic showing up - I still don't know what size to re-size to. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best size to re-size to?

Then there's the issue of older posts that have past the poster's editing window that leaves admin to do the fixing. Gene wants some 'spring cleaning' done and I said I am game - particularly kettling posts into appropriate threads - or creating new threads from existing threads that have veered off - I'm thinking of @Red 's 'What are you reading?' thread - that needs cleaning up so Red can have the thread with content in line with his intent starting the thread and the posts that veered off topic can have their own thread. 'Spring Cleaning.'

If you see any thread you'd like cleaned up a bit let me know.

I'm on a phone with the forum so for me the photos load as they do and everything fits my screen perfectly.

The forum interface does allow you to select a smaller size to use when inserting images. The basic format online for quick loading is 1200 pixels wide at 72 to 96 DPI (pixels per inch)..most images people are using are already fork the web and in that format so long as the drop down menus are functional. If people are uploading and inserting images then you will get whatever size they choose.

All I know is that since spring cleaning has started I have absolutely zero capacity to use the forum's basic drop down content services from bold to italic text, to inserting links, photos, videos etc. those drop down options are no longer functional. That will just cause people to upload large, unformatted files.

Literally it's just the five of us with SRL+ lurking in the background like some kind of spiritual guide the way Ricky Poole was back in the day, along with Squirrel who has literally come out of the woodwork along with the occasional odd insert and Kanakaris (sp) posting a response on occasion.

I remember when the forum was populated with so many great characters, and it was a very dynamic spade with a lot of fascinating UFO insight, really some of the best I've ever seen online outside of Bruce Duensing's blogs and Max Tonnies Post Human Blues blog in the late 1990's & early 2000's.

Now the drop down menus stopped working.....what have we become

I have started to see people coming on the site who are members but they don't post. Every once in a while someone will post - recently that happened on the Fauci thread. It was great but that thread got snarled up so that's why there is now a dedicated Covid Vaccine thread and at some point I will unsnarl the Fauci thread. Not an easy thing to do because 'adjacent' comments should be fine - 'in the ballpark' - but it can get out of hand and completely take over from the original intent. Not fair to the initiating poster of the thread.

Plus we are indeed a very tiny group. I don't see this minuscule band of posters needing any 'moderating' at all. As far as I'm concerned it's the Wild West, ya know? I think if there is lively activity and everyone maintains respect and decorum we do what we want. I see my role as making sure - maybe - the avenues for discourse are smooth flowing highways. I don't guarantee anything. I'm learning. I'm giving it a go.

Key is old fashioned decorum. No flame wars - those were the days, not so? I think people might start posting, not just showing up in silence, if we're really having productive conversation. Looking forward to the cooking thread!

I may have bitten off more than I can chew but I'm approaching it pretty low key. I even told Gene no announcement, and I'm not thrilled that I have the Administrator moniker. I floated 'the Hidden Hand' to Gene but I guess for now it is what it is.

When I post my bits and pieces I'm really looking for dialog. I'm still hoping a Q aficionado shows up. I've learned a lot about Canadians - thank you those who respond on that thread. Whatever I post I view as worth someone's while but I have no expectations.

You came on a year and a half before I popped on. The site had just gone through some sort of kerfuffle regarding a lady researcher? Something.
Anyway, unlikely the 'old days' will come again, unless we for sure have one eye-popping disclosure happen. Doubt it. Yet there are incidents that still puzzle. I'm going to post about the UFO incident that took place near my hometown in the 1960s. It's one of those classics that you can't shake.

@Gene Steinberg I haven't done anything. I've experienced no problem my end - I use a laptop, not a phone. Gene, might you know why the drop down menus stopped working for BurntState? He's using a phone.
