Saw him and the Arkestra - thought I was inside a UFO and not our local music auditorium in town. They transformed the venue into the mothership and we flew around in space for a couple of hours before we touched down and left the venue. Suddenly, it felt as if seeing him was all just a dream....

Never had the chance to see Sun Ra in the flesh. He died in 93’, and I was late in attending his party. I’ve seen the Arkestra a handful of times. Bought the tee shirts, hoodies, and other stuff. Marshall Allen, now 101 was performing pushups during a concert at the Hollywood Theater in 2022. Each performance attended was sold out with a wide variety of age groups and ethnicities. Needless to say, the props were out of this world.
