I miss the many strange personalities from back in the day. I learned so much from @trainedobserver about UFO's and enjoyed some of the exceptional insights some of the posters had. And now this forum is ridiculously inactive compared to where...

I agree but I still believe that all of North America (including Canada) and the UK and Ireland contribute less than 4 per cent of what India or China contribute to global warming. Until that changes I don't give a shit.

I'm still working on a Win7 4 core AMD PC. People are practically throwing them away.

I always thought Christopher O'Brien was on the money when he asked why would aliens want anything to do with our war.mongering, anti-environmental, sexist, racist backwater planet. I may be adding an issue or two to his general statement, but...

Well, damn. Sounds like Gene is having quite the time. I know Gene is about the age of my folks and that stuff can mess you up. Please tell Gene to keep his hopes up. My mom went thru a major medical event late last year, and she went from...

The shows could probably be archived on Internet Archive: Digital Library of Free & Borrowable Texts, Movies, Music & Wayback Machine and maybe a couple other places. It all depends on what Gene wants to do.

The Paracast was the podcast I started listening to when I first returned to thinking about UFO's, and I met the show in it's very early incarnation in the Biedny days. When you look at the catalogue of shows, the entire Ufological history is...

I quite understand - I’m very much a dreamer myself having prematurely abandoned the corporate world to pursue other interests well knowing that financially it was a potential road to ruin - but life is short. Receiving a little help along the...

I had forgotten myself. Highlight a chunk of text from the OP and then hit the +quote button. Do this as often as you like. Then go to the message area at the motton of the thread and click inside there and click the insert quotes button. All...

That's the gist of it, but I think the phrase "owed a living" also implies a certain attitude on the part of the user, not too far removed from other phrases like, "Get a real job." or "Do something useful with your life." It suggests an...

The planet has always heated up and cooled down as it will after we are all gone. America and the UK contribution to Global emissions is less than four per cent. Give me a shout everyone when we've convinced India and China to stop industrialization.

An interesting usage of the word "bracing" — the act of preparing oneself, often unconsciously, for an anticipated negative experience, such as disappointment, criticism, rejection, or emotional pain. It is a psychological self-protective stance...

Back when I was active here Angel of Loren was already a very rare presence, if at all. That was 10+ years ago. Goggs Mackay was an active and very fair moderator. Those were strange tumultuous times. Just wondering - why do you want to...

You have been playing in it all along :p Yep. I mean okay sure — maybe familiarization is on some alien's priority list someplace. My point is still that we don't really know. I've read a couple of his books, but don't recall anything about...

True as that is — humans are still a contributory factor. The things is that we're not as big a contributory factor as climate politics would have us believe. Just like with COVID, they claim there's a scientific consensus — when there's not, and...

Physical evidence may be the best but witness testimony shouldn't be ignored. Our understanding of reality. A more advanced civilization can appear very "magical" to one more primitive. I certainly don't. "Look after your planet" is just a...

I doubt anyone would buy a podcast per se. Would anyone be interested in starting a 501c3 to at least keep the archive up and running? All that being said, I do hope Gene recuperates sometime soon.

I really do not know how the Paracast can be the Paracast without Gene. It is like when Art Bell left coast to coast and George Noory took over. Totally different show. When you are well enough I will phone you and Barbara but I really will miss...
