The Search for UFOs – Is There An Endgame?

Those of you who listen to my ongoing comments about the UFO mystery on The Paracast are no doubt aware that I am not at all convinced there will be a solution anytime soon. I’m also not at all convinced that there will be a sudden revelation from one or more of the governments of Earth that we are confronting some sort of unknown phenomenon. I’m also not at all convinced that any recognized authority will inform us that we are undergoing visitations by intelligent beings from another planet.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that I disbelieve the extraterrestrial hypothesis, nor do I necessarily believe it either. Sure, I have little doubt that there are other intelligent races in our galaxy. Assuming the same life-sustaining conditions exist on other planets, it may very well be that ET is human or humanoid. That might explain the presence of humanoid creatures in and around UFOs, or even the abduction scenario.
However, I won’t presume to guess whether the rise of intelligent humanoids might happen due to the accidents of evolution, or the intervention of an outside force of some sort. Some may regard that outside force as a deity. Regardless, the end result of genetic engineering would be the same. So maybe we are created in the image of a race that seeded the galaxy with their own genetic material, or manipulated the local populace in one form or another.
It may well be that UFOs have a number of causes. Perhaps ET is one, but we may also be experiencing a sort of cultural mystery or phenomenon that manifests itself in a form that we understand. Today it’s spaceships, in the middle ages we were visited by supernatural creatures. Well, you get the picture.
If the phenomenon exists within the human consciousness, it’s not as if there will be a public revelation as to what’s going on. Unless the phenomenon presents a clear and present danger to our national security, governments aren’t going to get involved, and that assumes they are even aware of what’s truly happening.
With the possible presence of ET, or visitors from another dimension or another time, the issue becomes simpler and more complicated at the same time. If that comes across as a contradiction, let me explain. The possible fact of the presence of an advanced race from another world implies a physical reality with which we are all familiar. But the implications of their presence will be difficult to predict, and the consequences could be disastrous.
Consider the impact to the energy industry, which wields an incredible amount of political power around the world. If UFOs are intelligently controlled aircraft built on another world by a species using technology far in advance of ours, their power generating systems would put fossil fuel to shame. And perhaps even wind turbines and solar panels. So there are lots of interests that would want to suppress an alleged truth about ET’s existence and presence on our world.
Organized religion might also be negatively impacted, particularly of the aliens have a religious belief or understanding that severely differs from ours. The impact would be doubly severe if they revealed that they, and not God, created humans in their own image. Or perhaps they are agnostic or even atheistic.
Yes, it is true that religious leaders are apt to say that God, having created the universe, created all the living creatures that reside within that universe. So He created humans, and, in fact, ET. Maybe our visitors aren’t inclined to accept that essential truth, but that’s their fault, not ours.
It may be far worse of it were generally known by the authorities that aliens had motives that we couldn’t fathom, which has the potential of being confronted with hostile creatures who are quite capable of destroying us if they so choose. Or maybe they know the UFOs are piloted by evildoers, and are therefore attempting to hide the truth unless or until they can discover some means of defense.
Or they are just holding out, heads in the sand, in the hope that the expected threat will not materialize. Or maybe they have made secret arrangements with ET of one sort or another, arrangements that will never be disclosed unless there is reason to do so, such as an impending attack.
But all of this is highly speculative. I have no evidence whatever to offer about secret contacts between Earth governments and extraterrestrials, nor do I have any evidence that the presence of UFOs entails some sort of threat of one sort or another.
It is, however, clear to me that solutions won’t come anytime soon. I have decades of evidence to demonstrate that this is so, and no evidence whatever to indicate a solution may be at hand. Yes, I realize there are some so-called UFO researchers who proclaim the answer will come soon, or that ET is poised to land and reveal their existence. But that sort of crying wolf phenomenon has been repeated over and over again over the years. Maybe they believe that, if they suggest something of that sort is going to happen, maybe it will – well eventually.
But clearly not yet, and probably not in my lifetime. Sure, I’d be only too happy to be proven wrong, but I don’t expect that’s going to happen anytime soon. On the other hand, that unfortunate truth hasn’t stopped me from being intensely interested in UFOs and the entire world of the paranormal. Just color me optimistic.
