Is Your Neighbor One of “Them”?
By Gene Steinberg

Way back in the early days of The Paracast, my cohosts and I would sometimes wonder if any government agents were forum members. I mean, it was a perfect way for them to keep tabs on us, right? That assumes, I might suggest in an egotistical way, that we do anything at all that they regard as important.

In the early days of the UFO field, for example, the FBI watched over some figures, particularly those who claimed contacts with ET. They weren’t concerned so much with interactions with alleged visitors from outer space. Instead, they were concerned with exposing communists or communist sympathizers. George Adamski is a prime example, because he did reportedly have such proclivities.

But one thing not considered is that, if ET is truly in our midst, whether they would attempt to pass as human and quietly live among us.

It is the stuff of fiction, of course, and it depends on being able to pass themselves off as one of us either through a disguise, some form of genetic/physical manipulation, or shape-shifting. Or perhaps they are human to begin with but were born on another planet.

Consider the classic 1951 sci-fi film, “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” where an alien entity, Klaatu, appears to be perfectly human. The film never gets into whether his appearance was natural or engineered in some fashion. In any case, after being shot by a nervous soldier shortly after his arrival on Earth, he is taken to a hospital. He asks whether he could walk among the people to learn more of our world, and is told that he can’t.

So he escapes, borrows a suit with the name Carpenter on a tag and uses it to identify himself. Now some suggest that this is a Biblical reference, to Jesus Christ as a carpenter.

Regardless, other than displaying an obvious naïveté about Earth culture and norms, Klaatu passed perfectly as a human being. It was only when he revealed himself to people that they recognized the implications of his presence.

Now this is fiction, but it also fueled at least some of the contactee claims of the 1950s, in which alien visitors from nearby planets were also perfectly human. So these people could just as well live quietly among us without being recognized for who they really were.

But not all depictions of ETs in human form represent beings that are, basically, peaceful. All right, Klaatu did threaten Earth with destruction if we didn’t abandon our evil ways, but he had our best interests in mind, right?

Then there was “V,” which appeared first as a TV mini-series in 1984.

In the show, the aliens arrived in human form, claiming that they were here to obtain a chemical substance they required on their home world, and they wanted to help us produce it. In exchange, they would teach us about their superior space-faring technology.

But they were actually wearing masks, shielding their true reptilian form, and their real motives, to steal our water, and turn humans into frozen food to feed the populace of their home world.

Again, to all intents and purposes, they appeared human.

A revised version of “V” appeared in 2009 and ran for two seasons on ABC. The premise was similar. The aliens were reptilians who wanted to take over our planet. However, the plotting was more nuanced, introducing sleeper agents among the aliens who wanted to save humanity from the machinations of their fellow beings.

That’s all fiction. In the real world, is there any evidence at all that ET is here in human form, integrating with our society?

According to Dr. David Jacobs, an Historian who specializes in UFO abduction research, there are alien-human hybrids afoot who are busy infiltrating our society. Their goal? To quietly take over our planet, all without firing a shot.

If any of this were true, it would represent an ultimate conspiracy. We are in the midst of being invaded, and it’s all being done without firing a shot. No buildings will be destroyed, no people will die, or at least that’s what’s implied.

According to Jacobs, some of the subjects of his abduction research claimed to have been recruited by our invaders to teach the hybrids how to blend with our society, so they would be indistinguishable from humans. Worse, this infiltration isn’t being accomplished in a single country. It’s happening all over the world, involving millions of abductees.

Now Jacobs has appeared on The Paracast on several occasions, and the conversations were both revealing and, at times, disturbing. So when I asked him during one episode whether the hypnotic regression process he employed in his research was tuned to avoid leading questions. In response, Jacobs said, to paraphrase, “There are no leading questions!”

As you can see, I’m highly skeptical of his views and his approach. He may, of course, be right after all. Besides, if ET intends to take over Earth peacefully and with a peaceful intent, it may not be such a bad thing considering how we humans have messed up our planet. In the end, we might benefit substantially if the atmosphere of constant chaos cooled down, but at the expense of our freedom of choice.

Imagine one day awakening to a news announcement from a U.S. President who admits he is not from this planet and that his people are now in control. Of course, that might present a problem, since the U.S. Constitution limits the people who can occupy the Oval Office to natural-born citizens. Then again, it doesn’t specify that a President can’t be part-human/part-alien, so long as he or she is 35 years of age or older and was born in this country.

In the meantime, does it make sense to wonder whether your next door neighbor, a friend, perhaps a coworker, or even your boss is an alien or half-alien. How would you know? Would you consider possible eccentricities in their behavior? Then again, people can act in mighty strange ways and still be 100% human.

Or would they, perhaps, seem so normal, so perfect, that their behavior would defy logic. Know anyone like that?
