I picked up a copy of Amy Bruni's Cuisine to Kill for. Plus I've got a number of grilling cookbooks kicking around that I'm working my way through.

I was recently camping up in Northern Ontario (cold nights but my 0° sleeping bag was well worth the investment) and I got some great UFO shots and one lovely pic of two alien humanoids.

We canoed the Michipicoten river and got up close and personal with this secluded waterfall. We got to see this majestic pair of eagles burst out of trees right beside us, and as they flew directly overhead I was thinking, yeah, when while aerial things truly do happen you really don't even have time to pull out a camera. It makes one wonder about all those famous UFO pics - how did they do it?!

Anyways.....getting outdoors into the wild for a week is good for the soul, even if you don't encounter aliens, bears or moose along the way.

He does a deeper dive in some of the more little known characters surrounding UFOs in the cold war. Karl Hunrath for one. George Hunt Williamson for another one. He also goes into to depth about why the feds were so desperate to discredit UFOs during this period. He also talks about Roswell and it's fairly close proximity to the Trinity atomic testing site (60 miles away). There were four Russian spies in the Manhattan Project and the Russians had a listening post in Santa Fe for years. I don't think he ever came right and says it, but he implies it was a Russian balloon probably trying to gather information on our atomic testing much in the way the Mogul balloons were doing for us but in Russia.
ETA: I went back and checked and he does indeed say it might have been a Russian balloon or disinfo campaign.

Currently wondering if MAGA is in its death throws and will the Republicans now turn on the lame duck president after he completely sabotaged his own party, utterly ignored the needs of the average American, pissed on all of America's traditional allies, catered to the Uber wealthy of America, started yet another war in the Middle East without any approval, and in a total change of very long standing foreign policy is busy kissing Russia's/Putin's ass.
