Update on Gene - 2/6/26

I received a phone call from Gene and he is still among the living. He had to fight a bout of pneumonia last month as well as having side effects from antibiotics that caused his kidney's to stop functioning. However, he is doing better and his kidney's are improving now that he is off those particular drugs. Right now he is awaiting to get into rehab to help him start walking again.

Here is his address if anyone wants to drop him a letter or card. He is limited to his phone, so he can't really access the forums or email easily. So physical letters and cards would be really appreciated on his part.

The offending antibiotic is administered by IV. it’s called vancomycin. Apparently a known problem where kidney function dies. Till I recover I’m on dialysis.
