Paranormal Adept
It's all about looks :D.

In this age of superficiality and HUGE poll numbers for his highness and majesty 'THE Don', you can't help but wonder what the silent majority (his target audience) cares about, reads... is exposed to and believes.

Celebrity news, gossip and photos. Simple stuff for simple minds. I call it the death of decency along with the rise of a paparazzi king with a fascist twist. Entertainment for the masses that masks a deep despair and a lost will to deal with pressing global issues that require a level of financial resources, intelligence and sophistication now beyond our current capabilities. A will that was mostly drained by the energies, lives and cash uselessly spent dealing with the last two misguided G. W. Bush wars.

Ultimately Trump thinks the silent majority wants to close its doors to the world after a decade of nonsense, destruction and destabilization of the middle-east. It's obvious that the cat that knocked the milk jar doesn't want to pick up the pieces as millions are about to flood and destabilize Europe running away from a Caliphate. Who cares about Europe, we'll make america great again by taking aggressive postures against China, Mexico... and whoever are taking our jobs away he says. We'll tax Ford when they bring their cars back from Mexico.

That USA centrist view might be the perfect match for an exhausted and fearful silent and tamed bloated majority. How will they react to the busing of 11 million illegal immigrants, through 'THE Don's' new door, back to countries all over central america is another thing. Will they cheer their exit ?

Eating fast food without looking at the ingredients, G. W. did it... actually we all do it. We are the silent majority LOL

Smart and lazy cat you are ;)

I just started reading the RS article and having gotten to the part where Trump smeared Carly I sort of felt it was unfair as it was one of those taken out of context statements. This is by no means an attempt to defend him as he has said enough things to convict him of being a clown.

Having read the interview and hear the debate last night this singular thought occurred to me:

"This man has ADHD"

I thought I had an original thought in that while a lot of what makes Trump "Trump" comes down to his insecurities which he attempts to hide with ego & pomposity, maybe he's off chemically, maybe the persona we know as The Donald©® is a smokescreen.

So having googled Donald Trump +ADHD I could plainly see that I was not the only person who considered this.

This still doesn't explain his followers though and I am SO tired of hearing as an excuse "Well he tells it like it is" *BS* Ron Paul told it like it is a few cycles ago and he didn't even register , some clown comes in with the same us against them (or THEY in Donalds milieu)...thanks to Walter for reintroducing that word to my lexicon....message and boom off the charts popularity which goes to show it really does help if you had a TV show with high ratings in our current society. Now if Donald only had a platform.

I felt "the others" did a good job at minimizing Donalds omnipresence last night and Carly scored big I felt, especially scored points after being asked for her insight on Trumps RS remarks and she said that the American women heard him moments after Donald berated Bush confusing position over women's health/abortion but kept exclaiming "I heard it. I heard you say it" Even as I write this i have no doubts she once again is the talking point about the debates, good for her.

Carly did very well. But she also is an extremely flawed candidate, having caused serious problems at HP before the board fired her. HP has never recovered after more CEOs took over. Her positions were as insane as some of the others. Very little of the three hours focused on anything meaningful, such as the economy.

I didn't care for her remark in the previous debate and I'm paraphrasing here about "taking it to Putin" implying a missle threat I lost some respect for her as it was probably an attempt to pander to "Trumpologues"

I'm copyrighting that "

I felt her response was more measured when it came to answering any threat by Iran (which personally I feel is over exaggerated but she had to answer to her base) so she threatened to continue tying them up via preventing the movement of their financial transactions.

Quite frankly even though my politics leans more right than anything I think Joe Biden has been the most pragmatic and emotionally honest "candidate" out there, I did see his appearances on Colbert and it was heartfelt.

Liberal talk show host Thom Hartmann (who appeared on The Paracast in our early days) spent a few minutes listing the topics that they did not discuss, such as high student loan debt, income inequality, where the wages of rich people have expanded hundreds of times since the 1980s, while those of middle class people hardly at all in real dollars, the need to spend tons of money to rebuild roads and bridges which, in this country, are in very bad states of repair. Or does it take a major bridge collapse or a highway overpass collapse to wake them up?

The goal at these debates is to make the most quotable "red meat" comment.

Biden will probably not run because of his personal issues. Also, he tried twice before and had very little support. His time has passed.

I seriously doubt he'd resonate with the humble Kardashian generation but the guy would have made a good reluctant president.

Maybe Doctor Carson can fix things [emoji41]

Rand has mentioned addressed this on a number of occasions but I don't recall that being brought up last night so that's on the moderators shoulders but I didn't hear the closing remarks so I assume no one squeezed this in.

There are loads of important topics that could have been discussed. But they cared more about defunding Planned Parenthood (an organization where 97% of their services are for family reproductive health, breast cancer screenings, etc.), rather than deal with how to get more people, particularly in the lower income brackets, good quality health care to like keep them alive and healthy. You heard total nonsense such as threatening to tear up the Iran nuclear agreement when they take office, which would make the country look bad in the world's eyes for reneging on an agreement, or throwing out the health care plan without a better alternative. And what they've suggested in the past is a poor subset, nothing better. And what about deporting 11 million undocumented immigrants and building a "Wall of China" at the U.S.'s southern borders?

Ronald Reagan must be turning over in his grave.

Yay America.

The GOP is the home of: f@*k you/I don't give a shit and i don't want to know/I don't care if you and your children starve to death.

The problem with the Dems is..my best friend is getting married and moving to Eugene, Oregon- they've never even VISITED THE DAMN STATE?!?!
Lisa Loeb ftw

Yeah I'll give you that no one came close to being Reaganish tbh I can't get excited about anyone on either side and for that i blame Bush, despite him keeping us safe his policies turned off much of America priming it for "change" by putting in a man of color.

If Romney who was a good manager in my opinion had won I'm certain he would have instituted a health plan of his own based on his plan (despite his disavowing Obamacare) he would have had to. Obviously he wouldn't be able to do it in four years so if he had won and hadn't really screwed up the past four years his renomination would be a shoo in and we wouldn't be faced with our current crop of candidates

Thanks to Donald for inspiring me on that line of reasoning.

Obamacare was based on Romney's work in Massachusetts, using some of the same people to devise it. It is a Republican plan, based on the work of the Heritage Foundation in the late 1980s, including the individual mandate that's become so controversial today. In a sense, Obama merely expanded the Romney plan to cover the entire country. Romney looked the fool for rejecting something he championed when he was governor of MA. He had to, because anything with Obama's name on it has to be rejected by Republicans, even if it was based on their own ideas.

What a crazy country we're in.

Makes you wonder... it's a major shift (paradigm shift lol). The GOP candidates have a USA centrist posture in stark contrast with a past costly 'earth police' attitude. The realization that cash is king has hit hard and Trump's financial successes adds credibility to his solutions.

You'll notice that China was ramping up HUGE GNP gains during the Bush campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq and is about to surpass the US. It's not about looking good in the world's eyes anymore, it's about saving your world superpower butt at all cost... And Mexico will pay for the wall.

Yeah lets put up walls on EVERY state border that'll make it even harder for non-citizens to get through. And machinegun turrets..LOTS of machineguns.. I'm sure there's a private company out there that would be happy to contract out from the government.

Does it get any nuttier than this ? Hold on to your hats, this is only the tip of the iceberg [emoji102]. The GOP, Reagan version, is no more. A black hole ate it up and if someone like Donald Trump has a chance to get elected, some weird concept called rapture and tribulation times kicks in [emoji79]

How did you decide that the biblical rapture and tribulation will kick in if Trump is involved with the presidential race? I wonder which is more ridiculous a concept, rapture or Trump.
