That article made little to no sense whatsoever. Rejecting theory in favour of waves of data is throwing out the baby with the bath water. If the models are wrong, it's because the models ARE WRONG, not that the notion of constructing models is wrong.

This kind of thinking strikes me as dangerous. It's like wikipedia does to history; rule by popular consent not provable, testable, documented reality.

Aside: So... how long do you think it'll be before Google becomes self-aware?
