Allen Greenfield is a long time UFO and occult researcher whom I've known for decades. Back in the 1960s, for example, we worked out the concept that UFOs might originate from another dimension, or Alternate Reality.

Other than appearing on our recent Jim Moseley Memorial episode, it's been a while since we've had him on without any other guests.

I've greatly enjoyed listening to Mr. Greenfield on the Paracast over the years, Here are a couple of questions for him:

1. Can you discuss the benefits of practicing ritual magic? It seems that so many occult practitioners (Dr. Dee and Aleister Crowley, for example) seem to have gained so little, either materially or intellectually, from their magical practice, while others seem to have been harmed by it. Have magicians made any discoveries that have relevance beyond their own experience? In other words, are the occult forces, if there are such, playing us for suckers?

2. Can you tell us why and how you went about becoming a practicing magician?
