Here's a thread about some photos of a possible Skunk Ape taken around the year 2000. Many have probably already seen them before, but I thought I'd post it for those who have not.

Hi Guys,

The "Myakka" State Park here in south west Florida is in my county of Sarasota. (which has the main city by the same name) I've been to the park during daylight hours a couple of times in the past. Only about a couple of years ago did i ever hear about this story on the Net. Whilst looking up various sightings of Big Foot in the US. Finding out that Florida has the variety called "Skunk Ape" was surprising to me.

I suspose the native Indian tribes of Florida probably have lore to tell about Shunk Apes in their culture. Much like how we hear about the Yeti in Nepalese encounters in the Himalayas.
