I'm a Stephen King fan myself. Dark Tower is the greates series of fantasy..blah,blah,blah...but I digress. 8) I was interested when he wrote about is Scientific American taking on the role of Mother Church?
It does seem that whenever anyone even "thinks" about things like spirit or esp or possibilty of survival of the body the big clubs come down hard. I like what Sheldrake said: "Science is a method..not a posistion. Still, I do respect the scientific method and I've benifited from medical science big time.
I just don't like the "tone" of people like ritchie Dawkins and Mikey Schermer trying to push personal agendas off as if they are the final authority. Anyway, RIP Michael Crichton...You were one of those folks I have always admired and been in awe of....in other words a writer!
