Yes you read that correctly. According to this very short and to the point story, Mr Robbie Williams is into aliens, and is apparently involved in making a (BBC) Radio 4 documentary with Jon Ronson (journalist and writer) on the subject (!!)... see link below:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7342368.stm

Thought I would never have anything in common with Robbie Williams and this pops up ... well I never :D

schtick ... wondering if RW has ever heard The Paracast :P

Cool, Jon Ronson always makes very funny but also informative documentaries. Here are links to part 1, 2 and 3 of his series Crazy rulers of the world:

Raymond Teauge a NASA electrical engineer would be an interesting guest. he can tell us about the early apollo missions. he has come forward with very interesting information about ruined film and radiation levels in space.

oops wrong thread

Blimey ... I'm fairly astonished that noone has replied with anything even resembling something like: "Fabulous. Robbie Williams. A pop star of mega-proportions is into UFOs and stuff like that ... what a great guest suggestion, schtick" ... or maybe it was just the mushrooms I had on toast earlier on in the month talking to me again ... oh well ... thats no fun then.

Well it was a good thought for a few seconds ... pity those seconds were brief, short and to the point ... or something.

Nurse ... the screeens  :P

schtick ... who is going to have another long lie down in a dark corner now :D

p.s. thanks for the Jon Ronson links, freemars2259, at least I got something out of this debacle :P

I'm not a fan but I don't think this is a bad idea really. If he's interested in the subject he should be listening to this show anyways. I'm kind of curious to see if he has a clue or if he is going to be an embarrassment. Maybe he'd come on for a half hour to plug his doc w/ Ronson. Tell him David Bowie is gonna be on the show talking about his ufo sighting.

As for celebrity guests, Dan Akroyd or Dwight Shultz (Don Ecker could get you in touch with Dwight, they're friends). I wouldn't mind Dan being asked about some of his claims he's made over the years. Also the alleged photo (and was it video?) of the ufo over Ohare etc.

For those who don't know, Dwight is the guy who played Murdock on A-Team. He's big into ufos and believe it or not, seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

To tell you the truth, I don't actually care for celebrities that much :D ... I just thought it would be cool in a strange sort of way to hear Robbie Williams being torn to pieces (in a nice intellectual way of course) by Gene and David :D

But now that you mention it, Dwight Schultz and Dan Aykroyd would be really interesting guests. The only Aykroyd interview I've seen was with David Sereda and was dull as dishwater. I'm sure G & D would conduct a far more interesting interview with Mr Akyroyd.

In a similar vein I've only heard one interview with DS ... and for the life of me I can't remember who it was with. I have a feeling it might have been Don Ecker ... but don't quote me on that. But yeah, it would be could to hear mr Schultz being interviewed by G & D, as long as David doesn't try to do any Howling Mad Murdock impersonations of course

Another interesting 'celeb' would of course be Dean Haglund (Langley in the X-files) who is actually really into the paranormal/conspiracy side of things too. He also invented a cooling bag thing for laptops ... so the conversation could also move into the 'cooling bag thing for laptops' side of things ... which as we all know is another vastly important subject for discussion :P

Maybe you guys should get Robin Williams. He could tell you all about Planet Ork.

Tommy - Robin Williams could tell us about how he was turned down for a part as the leader of the Ewoks in that terrible S.W. film.

dB

Bloody hell ... he would have been a big Ewok (does anyone know RW's height and shoe size??) ... sort of a Bigfoot/Ewok hybrid really but cuddlier, and more marketable :P

Yeah that's all we would've needed to improve the standard of that film...a 5ft 9 inch Ewok with a coke habit!! lol :)

Don't know if this will work for people outside the UK, but here is a link to the Jon Ronson/Robbie Williams UFO show:
