China Launches Lunar Probe

Just after the latest Shuttle launch, China has now launched their first Lunar Probe.

Hopefully the probe will be a success for China and perhaps they will even meet their target of putting man back on the moon by 2020. It looks like the main push towards this is milituristic and commercial. However, it looks like China also has a great pride in their space program that inspires the entire nation.

It will be interesting to see what (if anything) is found on the moon and IF anything is found, whether China will disclose what is found. Of course this is supposing that it makes it to the moon.....

I'm sure the population is "inspired." Oppressive governments are good for that.
