    Best fiction sci-fi films /comics

I managed to pick up a DVD set of Sliders for $5 ex-rental and watched it, because I remember it being really cool. I still enjoyed it but it didn't turn out as cool as I remembered. One of the first TV shows I remember watching was a 1981 adaptation of The Day of the Triffids, (Wondering in...

There are, however, crater interiors on the Moon and Mercury that never see sunlight.

MARS Structures!!! What the heck are these?

That's what the scientists involved reckon, pretty much -- either that, or because there was liquid water on Mars.

Nick Redfern on the Real Men in Black

    8) Slightly more seriously: I have come across people (and writers) with whom I've had little to no occasion to disagree, although that's not saying I never would if I ever heard more of their opinions. (Desmond Morris and Joseph Campbell, to name a couple -- although of course I have not...

    Damsels In Distress

Boogers -- I can't seem to be able to open the article! But numerous "~isms", unfortunately, are prevalent in many facets of this world. :(

    Existence: Am I a hologram?

I find similar, but not because I don't want to watch the youtube vids. Rather it is because my Internet connection is slow, and with a 2G monthly limit. I don't find it irksome, or that I would be "doing [someone else's] work for them" by watching, but a small description of what is in the...

Who Knew Aliens Have a Sense of Humor?

I showed it to my facebook friends, and one of them said, "First thing to do when the Lizard Overlords invade: Hide the weed." A skull bong would be funny, but maybe a little hard to render and recognise as such. ^_^

I'm Gonna Rant .. So Hang On

Good for you Socky-.... I mean Spooky-mulder. I read Mr Lehmberg's blog the other day (I did not go over to the other site because I still have no desire to get mired down in too much "ickiness") ... But honestly I also came away from it thinking, "Say what?" Edit: Although I do think the...

    Existence: Am I a hologram?

Or The Matrix, or if you are into anime, The Ghost in the Shell... We are all about our perceptions -- even more so now that there is the internet to connect us. You don't know that I am real; I don't know that I am real -- We can only deduce as much from the things that we perceive. Honestly...

    Best fiction sci-fi films /comics

hehe That's kind of funny because the first movie I remember seeing Donald Sutherland in was an adaptation of The Puppet Masters! He must like the whole creepy alien possession scenario or something.

I'm Gonna Rant .. So Hang On

If there are any "threats and sexual ickiness" over there (Not saying there is, not saying there isn't -- I just don't know) the last thing I would want to do would be to go over there "to read for [my]self." !!

    Best fiction sci-fi films /comics

I love Gattaca -- and there are so many subtle hidden references to DNA and eugenics (Such as Jude Law's character being called Eugene, and the title GATTACA based on the letters in a string of genetic code.) That's one I must watch again at some point! As far as really good quality series go...

MARS Structures!!! What the heck are these?

I personally believe that even just having the possibility of high resolution images of Mars is interesting! Everything from Olympus Mons to desert pebbles.

Enough with the crystal skulls already/ June 27

No. Of course not. It's Duracell! :p:p:p I can't remember if I mentioned -- I don't necessarily believe in this whole "energy transference" quartz power thing. But it did remind me a lot of these other experiments, and I was curious about what people thought.

Enough with the crystal skulls already/ June 27

Enough with the crystal skulls already I have a great backlog of episodes that I am listening to at work, and have just come to your May 29th ep. on this subject. Rather than cluttering the boards with another new thread, I thought it might be prudent just to tack a couple of thoughts onto...

MARS Structures!!! What the heck are these?

Chasms on Mars, seen through telescopes, were initially thought to be "Canals" Face-like structures on Mars (and Luna of course) are more indicative of the human tendency to see faces in inanimate things. Cracks on Europa can traverse a good proportion of the moon's circumference while barely...

Philip J. Imbrogno withdrawing from paranormal research!

I apologise, and realise that I have an unfortunate tendency to be infuriatingly neutral on certain issues.:frown: When I say "bummer" it is more to do with all these things being uncovered. But it is good that there are still people interested in what is still a fascinating subject. I've said...
