    Prince Harry Media Blackout

More accurately, the British media. Further details and comment here http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2008/02/news_blackout.html I tend to draw the (somewhat opposite) conclusion that if there's a story to tell, someone somewhere will tell it regardless of the consequences.

    UFO Hunters

Yep, me too. The pilot wasn't great (I still find the quasi-reality type format a bit cringeworthy) but it was better than the History Channel offering. I vote we petition Doug Hajicek to stop working on the next series of Monsterquest and do some UFO stuff instead...

What personalities in the Ufo field drive you nuts?

Disagree about Vaeni. I haven't heard the C2C episode but I usually enjoy his Culture of Contact and Book of Thoth podcasts. Seems like he's got a sense of humour which goes a long way in my book...

    UFO good guys (for Siani)

Nicely put, sounds like a good definition of "good" to me.

    Black Triangles

Thanks, appreciate the reply. In the interests of full disclosure (if the "d" word hasn't been irreversibly tainted by now) I saw what looked like a stereotypical triangle myself back in 1995, location Dartford in Kent, UK. It's actually something that now makes me feel quite frustrated...

    Black Triangles

Siani, Out of interest - and if you don't mind saying - where were you when you saw it (i.e. country, city etc.)?

Feb 24th Atlantic Coast UFO Conference Show

I liked what David said about the number of people at conferences with "socialization issues" (forgive me if I've misquoted the exact phrase). I haven't been to a UFO conference for over 15 years but it seems they haven't changed much! Re. Bob Lazar, am I going mad or did I see him on TV...

    Nick Pope on paracast

I've heard him speak many times over the years, at conferences, on TV/radio shows and now on podcasts. Seems like a nice guy - I don't get the feeling he's spreading disinformation (at least not knowingly) - but he just doesn't seem to have anything terribly new or interesting to say, at least...

    Exopolitical Email Re: Disclosure

In the absence of "bollocks" as an option, I'd vote for the latter.

Wow, Tony Dodd! There's a name I haven't heard in a while. I also heard him speak a long time ago (believe it was a UFO Magazine get together in Leeds in the 80s or early 90s). For some reason I didn't get the feeling he was all that credible - perhaps he seemed just *too* sure about things -...

In this case, that may not necessarily be a bad thing...

    A Moron.

Oh, thank you for this! Was feeling a little low after watching/suffering UFO Hunters. At least this brought a smile ;-)

    UFO Hunters

Just finished watching the third episode (abductions). Actually left me feeling a little depressed, I really can't remember when I've seen anything this bad. Bill Birnes' exclamations about the object moving by itself and his closing statements about proof were just excruciating. Still, on the...

Recent show featuring James W. Moseley and Christopher Roth

Fully agree with much of the above - Roth made some interesting points and hoaxing definitely doesn't sit right with me, life's too short

    Nice question dodger

There was a Roswell show on either the History Channel or Discovery (over here in the Netherlands) a couple of weeks ago and they interviewed a guy who had worked on Mogul. He stated that they used ordinary sticky tape which happened to include some fancy symbols in order to strengthen the...

    Suggested Guests

One or both of these may have been suggested earlier, but I'd like to cast a vote for the Fortean Times regulars Jenny Randles and Dr David Clarke (biography Dr David Clarke).

    Exopolitical Email Re: Disclosure

I think it's more accurate to say that he's refusing to deny their existence, not quite the same as confirming it (leaving aside for the moment the exact meaning of "UFO" in this context, of course). I guess this statement is also a translation from the original Japanese so perhaps there's room...

    Get rid of Biedny

Hi David, There should have been at least one more positive mail - I've been meaning to drop you and Gene a line for a couple of weeks to say thanks for the Paracast. So, with apologies for the delay, thanks to you both and keep up the good work!
