I've long been suspicious of many people in the field. (So is The Alien Grand Design which "unmasks" quite a few.) But while MUFON leaves something to be desired, it is about a real phenomenon.

UFOlogy is controversial not (basically) fictional, yet the masses just don't have the same interest in it that they have in sci-fi. Everyone has heard of ST and other fiction yet relatively few have heard of MUFON.

Besides reports of the confiscation of evidence, there remains plenty in the public domain such as landing traces. Not conclusive, necessarily, but the point is the idea of ET vessels isn't based just on human testimony.

There have been a number of reports of the government confiscating physical evidence. We may not have hard proof they know but it's a reasonable conclusion.
