Top Secret: Nick Redfern Returns to The Paracast on June 24th

Not sure if this is really related, but I was listening to an old interview with Mac Tonnies recently and he mentioned in pasing that Nick had come across some declassified documents regarding humanoids encountered on a Pacific island during World War 2, does he remember any more about this?

    DMR .. Missing 411

This was one of the eeriest things I've heard in ages. The stories of the piles of clothes left behind were really weird, reminds me of the Algernon Blackwood story "The Wendigo", as almost as if something had snatched them from the skies! Don't people who have hypothermia often discard their...

    Not particularly impressive, really.

    Questions For Ben Radford

If there's no other takers, I chuck in a few more questions: If Bigfoot doesn't exist, what are people experiencing? While I'd agree that the image of a hairy forest giant is archetypal and occurs in many different cultures, how could this lead to people seeing something they believe to be...

Nation of Islam looks to UFOs

The Nation Of Islam's beliefs have always been pretty mad, don't they believe that white people were created by an evil wizard or something? They're nothing really to do with normal Islam- that's why Malcolm X was killed- he converted to Sunni Islam, and so dropped his belief in black...

    Mysterious Desert--Interesting Parallels

Scott Corrales has been on a few times (though not for a long while), he's an interesting guy, so would be good to see him back on.

    Questions For Ben Radford

I'd be interested to know his take on Jeff Meldrum's interpretation of apparently consistent anatomical features such as mid tarsal breaks in alleged Bigfoot footprints. I'd also be interested in his take on the Patterson Gimlin film- Bob Heironimous, the guy who claimed he wore the suit, has...

Nick Redfern's New Book Sounds Intriguing!

Finally finished the book today, I was initially doubtful of the disinfo allegations, and while the earlier part of the tale seems plausible, I think the documents relating to Roswell seem a bit dubious, referencing other organisations and experiments at Wright Patterson to close gates that...

Nick Redfern's New Book Sounds Intriguing!

Hah, I was trying to be diplomatic about it! I was specifically thinking about the incident where she was taken to an air force base by Richard Doty and left alone in a room with a file of bogus material about aliens.

Nick Redfern's New Book Sounds Intriguing!

Good questions, Kandinsky. The situation's made murkier by the fact the state isn't a monolithic whole with a coherent agenda, rather a bunch of agencies and factions and individuals, often with competing or even antagonistic agendas, compounded by the seemingly deceptive nature of the...

Global Warming or Global Hot Air!

The science of climate change and society's response to it are two different things. On one hand, I don't doubt climate change is occurring, on the other I think a lot of responses to it are useless, such as carbon trading, but I don't think there's some conspiracy to push climate change so...

Global Warming or Global Hot Air!

Not really, it sticks a headline saying that climate change theory is in chaos, but then both the scientists quoted right at the end agree that the results don't seriously challenge the idea of man made climate change. Says more about the agenda (and quality) of the Daily Mail.

    Mark Pilkington

That's more the paper overstating the case rather than Pilkington's own beliefs, his book doesn't claim the military's behind every case, just that they stir the pot for their own ends from time to time, and some of that has has become entrenched in what some people believe, e.g. the Dulce mythos.

    October 3, 2010 Show - Final Events

Actually, think about of all this, it reminds of me the Satanic Ritual Abuses scares of the 80s/early 90s, which was (in the UK at least), largely fanned by fundamentalist Christians in social work and other child protection agencies, which is a good example of people in public services allowing...

    Custom Made

I used to love the British wrestling when I was a kid, remember Catweasle? He was essentially a wrestling tramp who would take his false teeth out before a fight. Never really got into the American wrestling when it started to appear on TV here in the later 80s.
