People may not be ready for the truth

This shows that the citizenry may not be able to handle the truth ... or could they? (For your sanity... kill the dopey background sound.)

As expected -- news from Mars mission being squelched?

This shouldn't come as a surprise since, in 2010, the administration told NASA that its "foremost" directive was outreach to the Muslim world. Evidence of life on Mars, either past, present or merely plausible would stir up even more trouble among the crazies. I had little doubt that the...

    Mars missions fade away

I agree with most of the above comments and believe that, unless humanity is obliterated by its own hands or by a natural event, within a thousand years or so, two things could very likely make interstellar space travel possible: 1) Just as Friedman says a laser is more than just a strong...

    Mars missions fade away

The Obama administration's proposed budget will gut NASA's Mars exploration plans, at least for the near future. It will cut the agencys partnership with the European Space Agency to send probes to Mars in 2016 and 2018. "The 2016 mission, called the Trace Gas Orbiter, was to sniff the Martian...

    Warren on Rendlesham

Larry was recently interviewed by the two juveniles who are impressed with themselves because they say bad words on podcasts. Anyway, now he's talking about experiences while in his crib and that his presence at Rendlesham Forest seemed to have been planned. A Paracast interview with Robbins...

The Mad as Hell at BP Oil Thread

It seems as though BP may have finally sealed the top of the well with a custom-fitted containment cap. However, the relief well is still needed to kill the well just above the reservoir.

    A new direction for NASA

Gibbs tried to settle the issue in today's WH press conference. Responding to Bolden's claim that NASA's "foremost" goal was Muslim outreach, he said, "That was not his task and that’s not the task of NASA". Now... on to Mars!

    A new direction for NASA

A short clip in the original post for this thread was included so forum members could see and hear the actual statements. But I still think the foremost mission of NASA should be space exploration and related innovations, no matter what anybody says.

    A new direction for NASA

The head of a taxpayer funded agency, NASA, says that perhaps the "foremost" mission of the organization is to reach out to members of a specific religion and help them feel good about themselves. That's a very presumptuous statement in that he assumes that Muslims feel inferior and that a U.S...

    A new direction for NASA

Although it's not exactly as exciting as a manned mission to Mars, at least NASA now has a definitive goal -- to make Muslim nations feel good about themselves. The head of NASA, Charles Bolden, told Al Jazeera that the "foremost" task President Obama had given him is "to find a way to reach...

June 20th episode - Stan Friedman & Kathleen Marden

Although climate isn't exactly the same as weather, I wanted to caution especially Paul and pixelsmith to avoid getting carried away and crossing the line in their posts. No doubt that Paul is very aware of a federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2074) making it illegal to issue a fake weather forecast. ;)...

June 20th episode - Stan Friedman & Kathleen Marden

June 20th: A plea to Gene and Paul I just found it surprising that someone who spends so much time and energy in the field of UFOs would think that the likelihood is that we are "not" being visited by another intelligence. Not to put words in your mouth (or pixels/em units on your fingers)...

June 20th episode - Stan Friedman & Kathleen Marden

June 20th: A plea to Gene and Paul Personally, I hate cold weather and would rather we be sitting at 85-90 million miles from the sun, but that's the luck of the draw. And I think the climate change promoters would have been better served to define the argument in terms of pollution --...

June 20th episode - Stan Friedman & Kathleen Marden

June 20th: A plea to Gene and Paul I like Stan -- he's a serious investigator and an affable guy. But I'm often disappointed by his interviews. I've listened to some where the host would ask a question and Stan would take off. Often, I could almost recite his spiel right along with him. Aside...

The Mad as Hell at BP Oil Thread

I agree. Nuke the sucker. It can be done with an extremely high degree of safely. But with Obama's record of turning away international help using proven technologies and his distaste for nukes, it will never happen - even if the waters of the Gulf were completely displaced by dead dinos.
