Good morning friends. I want to make a brief comment to you all regarding what has been happening the past couple of days.

If you haven’t yet seen the article you will in time. And I refuse to share the twisted story of Stan's arrest that ran in the paper on my FB page. It is everywhere.

I will give you the basics. Last April a search warrant was served. This past Wednesday a warrant was issued. Stan cooperated by turning himself in. The charge as far as we know (without having an attorney in place until next week) is of possession of...NOT distribution. He was released Thursday, and can not access internet for the time being...as a condition of his release.

Anyone who follows Stan is already aware of the harassment, break-ins, hacking and remote access of our computers for starters that we have experienced.

It is our belief, that whoever has been accessing our system also left behind traces to verify the Office of Homeland Security tip that the police department received.

For those of you who have reached out for answers with love and concern. I hope this helps you understand what’s happening.

For those of you who live in fear and function in hate..please just unfriend us both and do not make this terrifying situation any worse with your ignorant threats and ugly statements. They will not be responded to and will be deleted and reported as abusive.

We will be taking UFOlogy into the courtroom. We know that this has EVERYTHING to do with our being outspoken about the ET/UFO reality!

Personally i dont see Romanek as a big enough fish to fry this way, so i tend to lean towards him simply being a creep.
But it doesnt need to be the PTB that would do this to you either, it could just as easily be someone he knows whos done this on account of a personal grudge.

Hell an angry wife could do it as a way out of the marriage , with the bonus of keeping all the assets and a guarantee of exclusive custody of any children.

Unfortunate and sad. Did anyone listen to Cc and see if snoorey said anything since for a while it seems like he was on his show nonstop. Regardless....As someone said another black eye for ufology and I am also curious what the wife means by taking et and ufos to court. If he was found with the stuff I doubt it goes to trial

Depends on how its done, Hackers can take full control of your PC , doing anything with it you could do yourself sitting at its screen.
Finding the client exe that makes this possible can be hard to do, it may be disguised as a program file, or even be deleted after the deed is done.
If someone has access to the PC itself, ie disgruntled wife scenario, its even easier.
A govt agency wanting to frame you this way might just track your movements and send an agent into the house while you were at work or doing the saturday shopping.

Boot PC, Copy files from portable HDD, power off PC and leave

It could even be done at the police station after the PC has been seized, Its not unheard of for Police to plant evidence.

I know a highway patrol officer who once boasted to me personally he carries a small bag of pot with him on duty.
If you are a dick about getting a speeding ticket, give him abuse about being booked, he whips it out and says look what i just found in your glovebox........

The courts will always take the word of an officer over the public.

Personally i dont think Romanek is important enough to bother with like this, and we know there is a definate segment of the public who do get their kicks watching this sort of material.

I predict he will be convicted, but will cry "framed" forever more, if for no other reason to try and preserve his marriage.
 
The so-called Romanek Case has always appeared to be too good to be true: almost every conceivable aspect of the contactee/abduction scenario was alleged to be present and this fact alone has always made this "case" bang my BS meter hard. Now that these allegations and charges have surfaced, it's too easy to view these developments with a healthy dollop of irony. Even though the "Boo" video and suggestive circumstantial evidence that most (if not all) of Romanek's claims are suspect, this has not dampened the true-believer crowd's suspension of disbelief about Stan. I'm sorry to say that this appears to be latest rusty nail in the moldy coffin lid of ufology— a fact that does not bode well for attracting more open-minded UFO skeptics to the subject.
 
All this field is (except for sightings that are truely anomalous, which one hasn't witnessed oneself, one would dismiss at hand) is 'cloak and Daggers' anyhow. Doubt it was different 10, 20, 30 years ago. We're infighting and deluding ourselves on 'some things'. Telling me, despite all the 'Planet x' , 'Uranus landing' (sorry), that there is nothing...no dice, roll again.

When I first got seriously interested in UFOs, I made a decision to stay away from the side show personalities involved in the field and don't regret that decision one bit. Still, there are too many interesting cases to ignore the subject and original reports and first person accounts are readily available these days. For somebody new, the field is wide open. There's plenty out there just waiting to be discovered. I speak from some experience on that. ;)
 
A lot of good comments above. Personally, I still think there's plenty of interesting UFO cases from the past, plenty of interesting spook activity in the present, and tons of interesting stuff which has a hell of a lot to do with altered states of consciousness, all of which can still make up a fascinating "field", just not ETH-celeb Ufology as we used to know it. Moseley was the last person who made the UFO characters funny. It's interesting synchronicity how much has gone belly up since he split this veil. It's just not funny anymore! For instance, dig Derrel Sims on the show last Sunday... where is this man's sense of humor?

Yikes!

Romanek always struck me as a sort of delusional nut with his alien claims but this accusation against him sounds as strange. If he isn't guilty then maybe at least some of his claims deserves a second look. I feel for his wife. I don't know if he is guilty or innocent of the charges but for his family's sake I hope it all gets cleared up fast.
