Stan Romanek Arrested for Suspicion of Child Pornography- Exploitation

To add to the downfall of the Romanek clan he was recently caught faking ghost activity live on camera.

Stan Romanek caught faking on live video!!!! watch yourself its so obvious. He can't back out of this one. LOL busted.

If true i hope he gets the book thrown at him, i find it hard to wrap my head around this particular crime.
I suppose i can take some comfort in the reality i just cant understand why anyone could get their jollies with kids or animals for that matter.

Having said that it was a common threat back in the day to threaten ppl who you were fighting with on line , that you would DL kiddie porn to their HDD and call the feds. I'm sure there will be a few supporters who will claim this is how they "silenced" him.

There was a website thats long gone, called the last viking or similar, it was a list of ways to get revenge on ppl.
One of the suggestions was to subscribe your target to NAMBLA, and or order some bumper stickers from them and put them on your enemys car.

Edit: this caused me to look for the site, and while the original is gone the "avengers handbook" lives on (original was back in 1997)

The Avenger's Front Page

Its even been published

Apply for membership in certain groups, such as KKK, Jehovah's Witnesses,
NAMBLA (North American Men and Boy Love Association), or anything
controversial. Or subscribe them to annoying book clubs like the Reader's
Digest. Find something the mark really hates or fears and sign him up there

Thats the orginal stuff.

We most definitely have to afford Stan the same rights we would expect ourselves in that he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Please can anyone commenting be extra careful about what they say as I'm sure the Paracast cannot afford any litigation against it!

I'll say one thing though, Stan has often opened his home up to UFO investigators (of a kind anyway) and also his computer. Anyone storing illegal material on a home computer would be extremely foolish to allow all and sundry to look at that computer? We don't know the full details of the arrest etc so we'll just have to wait and see.

Here is his wife's reply....

Good morning friends. I want to make a brief comment to you all regarding what has been happening the past couple of days.

If you haven’t yet seen the article you will in time. And I refuse to share the twisted story of Stan's arrest that ran in the paper on my FB page. It is everywhere.

I will give you the basics. Last April a search warrant was served. This past Wednesday a warrant was issued. Stan cooperated by turning himself in. The charge as far as we know (without having an attorney in place until next week) is of possession of...NOT distribution. He was released Thursday, and can not access internet for the time being...as a condition of his release.

Anyone who follows Stan is already aware of the harassment, break-ins, hacking and remote access of our computers for starters that we have experienced.

It is our belief, that whoever has been accessing our system also left behind traces to verify the Office of Homeland Security tip that the police department received.

For those of you who have reached out for answers with love and concern. I hope this helps you understand what’s happening.

For those of you who live in fear and function in hate..please just unfriend us both and do not make this terrifying situation any worse with your ignorant threats and ugly statements. They will not be responded to and will be deleted and reported as abusive.

We will be taking UFOlogy into the courtroom. We know that this has EVERYTHING to do with our being outspoken about the ET/UFO reality!

Thank you for your love and continued support…

Lisa

: Alien Experiencer Stan Romanek Arrested

I do not pretend to know the facts behind this incident, but everyone is innocent until proven guilty. At the same time, the people who are charged with a crime will invariably protested their innocence. So time will tell how this turns out.

In passing, I've never been convinced about the reality of Romanek's claims.

The whole piece about "taking Ufology into the courtroom" and making the child pornography charge somehow related to those who would prevent their " truth" about the ET/UFO reality from being spread to the masses, will be instructive to say the least. My prediction, regardless of guilt or innocence, is that Romanek will single handedly hammer the last nails into the coffin of ufology as a subject populated by those not mentally stable, and perhaps even depraved.

If it was just a bit of a side show carnival before with Greer and the alien baby skeleton, the guy with the foil lined hats to prevent abductions and the starchild skull now we can now add potential child pornograhy consumer to the ranks of all that ufology may represent.

Romanek, after all, was one of the rising ufological lights for those who believe in abduction and regular visitation by greys. The celebration of his message along with the likes of Paul Hellyer at disclosure hearings is the type of stuff that firmly marginalizes this field into absolute fringe territory. Those who played a hand in promoting such messages or such contactee prophets did so to fill the seats, and really could not care less what kind of damage is done to the field as a whole.

These are truly the sad dark days of ufology.

Very well put, Burnt State. Looking over the latest "hot topics" in the corpse of ufology: The "Dream Team" saga with "new slides" of an alien, Greer, abduction researcher fiascos, the "new" take on Aztec, belated once-more attempts to find something, anything in a blurry Ramey memo... I think it's clear to all but the most extreme want-to-believers that ufology as we once knew it is finished. This doesn't mean "the Field" is finished -- just that nuts & bolts ETH hypotheses are gonna hold little water without any evidence; and with the quality of witnesses and "experts" trending, in most cases, in the direction of "nadir", researchers are gonna have to start looking into human consciousness, altered states, and paranormal stuff if the subject is to have any relevance at all... outside of a few thousand die-hards, worldwide (?)...

Jim Moseley always noted the high percentage of researchers, both skeptic and pro-ufo, who were seemingly unhinged or deranged. Jerome Clark has stated numerous times that the percentage of nutjobs is no different in ufology than in any other would-be scientific field. I tend to think the former is correct -- at least the evidence continues to pile up on that side.

he hasnt been proved guilty yet ffs.
the feds had his computer for ten months didnt they, if it was clear cut, they would of frog-marched him alot sooner

not that ive ever heard of him until now.

Romanek is the guy with the doll headed alien video, captured in his living room window, among many other things. And of course I know absolutely nothing about the case, and he hasn't yet had a fair day in court. The newspaper story is sparse, to say the least.

Unfortunately, there is no alternate reality where Phil Klass decides to take up world class domino championships, McDonald doesn't kill himself, or Bennewitz isn't driven over the deep end and Hynek never takes a gov't debunking job. It seems almost inevitable, as Moseley and other commentators here have pointed out, it attracts a wild, & not always stable, crowd, but of even more interest, those who may have had a legitimate experience once, or because they become overly involved in the subject matter, eventually destabilize as well. Is it the subject matter itself that insists on being branded this way?

Ufology is a magnet for altered mental states, has been magnified by the media as a field littered with fringe folk and Venusians (no offense to the children of the 70's and fans of Zamfir) and it continues its dance while the skepticos just eat it up. Anyone got any better ideas?

I mean, I really liked Mac Tonnies and his way of thinking, but he continues to be seen as the last great innovative voice in the field. That has neither advanced us nor legitimized this study. It is adrift in the grey sea.

If true then it is extremely hard to prove and they will need to prove the hacking... messy ... very messy. It is not really that hard from what I have read and understand to hack into a persons home system, but still you would have to be very security lax to have not solved the issues as much as possible and what is more reported the ongoing hacking to your ISP in-case of legal problems.... I remain unconvinced but the man is innocent until proven otherwise so let us just chill and play a wait see game.

I like RygyWa's approach. Use the attention from current headlines to draw attention that guilty or innocent of the criminal charges, Romanek's a phony. While the topic is hot, maybe we should be looking at the other "performers," too.
