While it's true that their sacred books are full of hate, do you believe the fact that the west invaded their lands and killed millions and millions of their people during the last few years has anything to do with the animosity eastern people feel toward the west?

And yet we dont see people of those nationalities beheading people and engaging in revenge attacks in the west.
What factor is making this scenario different ?
I could post a half dozen videos of foriegn jihadis from within the IS and its clear their primary focus is Jihad itself and the creation of an Islamic caliphate.
Their book doesnt just preach hate, it commands they convert the whole world by force if needed to Islam
Thats the primary driving factor here, and as per the quotes ive posted some dating back to the 13-1400's its always been that way.
But lets for the sake of argument go with the theory its because we killed lots of them a few years back.

video posted on YouTube on January 17, a number of hooded men are seen repeatedly shouting "this is a Muslim area" towards non-Muslim passers-by.
In the footage, which was shot at night on the weekend of January 12/13 on a mobile phone, in what is believed to be Whitechapel in east London, one gang member is seen telling a young woman who is wearing a short skirt, "you cannot dress like that in a Muslim area, this is a Muslim area."
A few moments later, the vigilantes confront a man carrying a can of beer, telling him "no alcohol is allowed." They then force him to empty out the contents of the can on the sidewalk. One gang member shouts: "Get him to pour it out, pour it out, Muslim area. Alcohol bad. This is a Muslim area. This area is a Muslim area. No drink in this area." He continues: "What this is, is a Muslim Patrol. We are Muslims and we patrol the area. Forbidden … evil. Alcohol is evil. No alcohol. Yes? Have a good day."
A few moments later, the vigilantes accost a woman who, referring to the imposition of Sharia law in the neighborhood exclaims, "I cannot believe it!" The Muslims respond: "We do not care if you believe it or not."

Right now these are just ratbags pulling stunts, but make no mistake it would be enforced as it is right now in syria/iraq with an unrelenting iron fist
The beheadings and attacks on police and soldiers are not revenge for the deaths of muslims in recent years, what they hope to acheive is a backlash from the target comunitys against muslims, this will in turn radicalise more of the faithful and push them into Jihad. They are literally creating their own war, because they want holy war. They see it as a perfect way to advance the cause of Islam.
And of course the other proof as mentioned that this is primarily ideologically driven rather than anger and revenge, is the systematic slaughter of Shi-ite muslims in iraq.

Yes they are cranky about the muslims killed in years past, they are still hopping mad about the crusades started in 1095
But thats not whats driving IS, if you watch the videos of british and australian jihadis with IS now, the primary motivation is the creation of the caliphate and its expansion, eventually to the whole world. And if left unchecked they will try and do just that.
Its easy to say that will never happen, but tell that to the poor bastards already under their control (those that still live that is)
