ISIS and Israel

Vicious cycle

The group regularly disseminates propaganda across social media accounts through its various media arms, including guides for women on how to be good jihadi brides.
Ayesha said she was taught to see the UK as a "kuffar [non-Muslim] nation" that had killed many Muslims and was "our enemy".
"You don't trust the state, you don't trust the police, you don't send your children to state schools,” she said.
The extremists she associated with would have idolised the British fighter ‘Jihadi John’, who was recently unmasked in reports as Mohammed Emwazi, and considered him a role model, Ayesha added.

'Attractive' jihadists used as 'eye candy to recruit British girls into extremist groups'

So you dont send your kids to state schools so they cant learn otherwise, that is that non muslims cant be trusted and are the enemy.
Mike is it just Islam that is the problem or is it all religions? I do not think you should include Judaism.
Netanyahu Is “The Right Man” to Address the US Congress on Iran:
While there are relatively few Jews who publicly wonder whether the chronically insecure Israel is “good for the Jews”, many more deplore that militant Zionism destroys Jewish moral values and endangers Jews both in Israel and elsewhere. For example, the film Munich by Steven Spielberg sharply focuses on the moral cost of Israel’s chronic reliance on force. During one scene, as a member of the Israeli hit squad hunting Diaspora Palestinian activists quits in disgust, he proclaims “we’re Jews. Jews don’t do wrong because our enemies do wrong…we’re supposed to be righteous. That’s a beautiful thing. That’s Jewish…” While Schindler’s List explores threats to the physical survival of the Jews, Munich exposes threats to their spiritual survival. No wonder that Likud supporters in America besmirched the Jewish director and his film even before it was released. It also lashed out at several recent books (Prophets Outcast, Wrestling with Zion, Myths of Zionism, The Question of Zion) that are concerned with the same essential conflict between Zionism and traditional Jewish values. Mr. Netanyahu’s speech before the U.S. Congress has deeply sharpened his intra-Jewish conflict.

I think all religion hurts us

The rest is a matter of degree

Imo radical Islam like we are seeing in ISIL is the worst of the delusional death cults.

The staggering brutality we are seeing manifest today as a result of this cult is a disgrace

So is religion the driving force here or equal or other forces at play? If there are could you explain how you see all the forces at play briefly, working and why? If religion is the only one it is extremely powerful. Is it more powerful than economics?

Power, control - and sadly, sexism. It was once observed that where the female is honored and educated, the society and culture thrive. Historically there have been periods when that occurred - even under the umbrella of religions, though when an atmosphere of tolerance and freedom reign there is usually present some mystical influence (as distinct from religious).

If we go back we will find that key to all this is the subjugation of one sex, in one way or another. The sexual urge has been the root cause of more twisted thinking, with economics (survival) playing a large role. It's all pretty basic stuff imo.

That sums it up perfectly for me. Often societies and cultures of evil source from perceived personal inadequacies that are compensated through hatred by scapegoating. Control of the other gender, other race, other religion is what fuels these actions. That's always the story behind genocide.

What ISIL (not Isis, let's leave the goddess out of this insanity) is up to may be done in the name of religion but it has absolutely nothing to do with religion. This is about savagery and creating chaos. There is no other agenda except mayhem and terror, which is why they help to attract the dissatisfied, the excluded, the criminal and the dispossessed addict. There is no morality, no value, no faith being expressed. ISIL is a sad zone for sad men and women who have learned to hate themselves and have found their CHAOS organization to help spread evil in the name of a cause both simplistic and obscure.

Here in Canada we are asking ourselves how it is we have so many similar extremist terrorist organizations from false Islamicists to Sikh extremists to neo-nazis. All manage to pull in the same youth and channel personal negativity into the manufacturing of social terror. It is all done in the name of hate and he believe in their own power and entitlement.

Apropos the sentiment expressed before, this just came into my feed: "Spirituality is a personal relationship to the Divine. Religion is crowd control."

So where does the "Western World rank with all its secular education, history of struggles to make a better world, and attempts to treat women as equals? The people who believe in some form of organized religion are fewer and fewer. We are still marching off to kill people we do not know, hating people who have never harmed us, and believing lies that are easily disproved. It is war for the sake of war. I asked a friend if he thought that there was some mystical influence behind what we are doing to ourselves and the planet and he said, "if we are doing this to ourselves then we need to become extinct." Israel and Isis a matching pair.

Israel and Isis a matching pair.

I wouldn't put it that way, rather this: literalism. ISIL are literalists, as are Zionists, as are Westboro. It goes further, literalists of unique kinds, of narrow interpretations that most others do not recognize.

If anything points to the existence of spirit it is all this - because 'all this' has it's origin in spirit. What we see is the physical manifestation of a powerful 'spiritual battle'. For some that sounds like 'woo', but until there is recognition of spirit-soul-body (rather than just soul-body, basically materialism), it will all appear without context. As long as we are blind - and oft times intentionally so - we will march off to wars being led by gods we deny exist, while every moment they are piping the tune, in control. The Greeks knew it was the gods who were 'in the game' and moving the chess pieces; we are (indeed) more advanced and initiate (personal) actions in ways they did not, but the gods still play us 'for their sport'. It will only be those who command the gods, or choose their gods wisely, who will say no to war, no to hate, who will be adept at stepping through the mine-field of twisted thoughts and mired emotions. When all is said-and-done, the world is us writ large. There is more conscious movement towards sanity than at any other time. It can seem hard to see but it is so. So say I. :) IMO.

TEXT: "The Islamic State group have begun bulldozing the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrud in Iraq, the government said, in the jihadists' latest attack on the country's historical heritage.

"IS "assaulted the historic city of Nimrud and bulldozed it with heavy vehicles," the tourism and antiquities ministry said on an official Facebook page.

"An Iraqi antiquities official confirmed the news, saying the destruction began after noon prayers on Thursday and that trucks that may have been used to haul away artefacts had also been spotted at the site."

The origin of ISIS is the koran, Its mearly trying to enact the global caliphate as per the instructions in the koran.

Perhaps in ascribing the cause elsewhere CIA/Mossad/KGB, we hope to gain some semblance of "control" over the situation.

To look at the problem from another angle

Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for the removal of the Rule of Law in favour of the long regarded barbaric Sharia Islamic Law. Hizb ut-Tahrir openly professes the following “ Hizb ut-Tahrir is a political group and not a priestly one. Nor is it an academic, educational or a charity group. The Islamic thought is the soul of its body, its core and the secret of its life.” Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for the removal of the Australian way of life being as they claim our freedoms and rule of law as “corrupt society that is to be transformed into a Islamic Society”.
Hizb ut-Tahrir calls the for removal of the Rule of Law in favour of Sharia Law and to use any means possible to achieve these changes. Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for the removal and replacement of all Western vestiges of Government, power and structure and use what ever methods to achieve the downfall of Australian laws and Government, to achieve the introduction of an Islamic State and Sharia Rule. Hizb ut-Tahrir presents itself as an intellectual group, but there is a gap between what it professes and what is practically possible. It claims to be non-violent, yet argues for the installation of a world-wide Caliphate. To institute a new "world order" would unavoidably lead to violence. Political revolutions, by their nature, involve some amount of violence.

Hizb ut-Tahrir - Draft Constitution for the Khilafah State

These guys have rewritten australia's constitution to replace our laws with sharia law. Nothing to do with action or inaction or alphabet agencys, they have done it in accordance with Islamic ideology.

They see it as a sacred duty to replace our corrupt society with an islamic one.

The doctrines that drive this have been around since long before america was colonised.

“We took the liberty to make some enquiries concerning the ground of their pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation.

The Ambassador [of Tripoli] answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.

{Letter from the commissioners, John Adams & Thomas Jefferson, to John Jay, 28 March 1786}”
Thomas Jefferson, Letters of Thomas Jefferson

The origins are the same now as they were in 1786...........

Founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found

ISIS will tell you the exact same thing as was said in 1786, it is written in the Koran that it is their duty to make war on us, and to replace our corrupt western laws with islamic ones.

And when you look at the Charter i posted above you can see why so many young men and boys have flocked to the caliphate.

They hold as self evident these truths

That the Islamic ummah is the master race
That the superiority of all islamic men is correct
That Muslims are superior to non muslims.

This is not an extreemist view its at the core of their faith and teachings, 53 countries have signed this document, agreeing with its principles.

They have been brainwashed into believing they are the master race, and their destiny is to rule the world. That their magic sky man has said so and will help them acheive this goal.

isis destroys statues - Bing Images

Statues are haram in Islam, they are an affront to their creator and must be destroyed.

If they acheive a global caliphate they will destroy every statue on earth , lady liberty will be first to go in the US because she stands for values offensive to Islam.
The mona lisa will be destroyed as will every other painting that depicts the human form.

Its the reason the taliban destroyed the bamiyan buddas

Its the reason ISIS is buldozing Nimrud site

What possible link does the destruction of these statues have with western action or inaction ? none

The motivation is based on Islamic ideology that says statues are haram

These violent Sunni extremists have been campaigning to purge ancient relics they say promote idolatry that violates their interpretation of Islamic law. A video they released last week shows them smashing artifacts in the Mosul museum and in January, the group burned hundreds of books from the Mosul library and Mosul University, including many rare manuscripts.

This idea that they are somehow OUR puppets is a dangerous one imo.

Perhaps thats easier to accept than an out of control self funded caliphate hell bent on taking over the world

The International Business Times has described ISIS as the "world's best-resourced terror organization." Some funds come from donors but they also smuggle antiquities, and sell oil, and collect taxes in areas they control.

Taxes on businesses in Mosul alone are claimed to net millions each month. Iraqi officials estimate that ISIS has a war chest of about $2 billion US.
Many Iraqis and others as well accuse Saudi Arabia of helping to fund ISIS because the Saudis support Sunnis against the Iraqi government dominated by the Shia majority. Ahmed al-Abiadh a political analyst in Sunni affairs notes:

What you see ISIL doing is not taking money officially from Saudi, but using, particularly in its early days, financing from individual Saudi sheikhs and from mosques. From there it was able to build a network in Syria, and now it's in Iraq. So while Saudi's may not officially fund and back it, Saudi citizens do."

Saudi citizens continue to represent a significant funding source for Sunni groups operating in Syria. Arab Gulf donors as a whole — of which Saudis are believed to be the most charitable — have funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to Syria in recent years, including to ISIS and other groups. There is support for ISIS in Saudi Arabia, and the group directly targets Saudis with fundraising campaigns, so Riyadh could do much more to limit private funding
Nevertheless much of ISIS funding comes from its own operations especially since it has extended its territory. During the conquest of Mosul alone ISIS seized about 500 billion Iraq Dinars ($420 million). ISIS also is able to earn money from selling oil from oil fields in areas it controls in Syria. However, some experts, such as Gunter Meyer, director of the Center for Research into the Arab World at the University of Mainz, believes that ISIS still receives the bulk of its funding from donors.

And not just from ME doners

Australian Charged With Funding ISIS - The Daily Beast#

IT’S the most brutal terrorist regime the world has ever seen, determined to create an Islamic Caliphate across large swathes of the Middle East.
But not only is ISIS terrifying, it’s also filthy rich.
Reports suggest the group could have up to $2 billion in its coffers from a combination of private donations, tax, ransom payments and commercial revenue streams.

Far from being a hodgepodge terrorism network, it now functions much like a state collecting taxes from people in areas under its control.
It also controls key infrastructure like power stations and oilfields in Syria and Iraq where it generates electricity to sell back to the Syrian government, The New York Times reported earlier this year.

ISIS: Where does the Islamic State get its money?

Oil sales are giving the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) a substantial new revenue source, according to the Iraq Energy Institute. ISIS currently earns $1 million per day from the Iraqi oil and gas fields under its control. ISIS’ territory is producing between 25,000 bpd and 40,000 bpd. The crude oil is being sold on the black market at $30 per barrel. The oil is not pegged to international standards for oil prices.
If ISIS takes over the Syrian fields in areas where the group is advancing, its oil profits could reach as much as $3 million per day, with a total of $100 million per month for Iraq and Syria combined. On July 19, ISIS took control of the Shaar gas field near Palmyra, one of Syria’s largest fields, further strengthening the group.

ISIS being funded through black market oil | BIC Magazine

They are trying to establish a state, and these types of revenues are important for the state’s formation because it makes up a significant chunk of their revenue,” he said. “They can take over eastern Syria without oil revenue, but seizing these types of fields are part of an ongoing plan to develop their own economic system.”

Never forget this is at its core about establishing an Islamic state, and that requires revenue.

The idea that they are somehow our puppets and thus under our control is false.

This is a must watch video for anyone serious about the issue

Esp around the 38 min mark good jihadis vs bad jihadis, and yes the USG has made a mistake

The USG thought it could use "good" jihadis for its purposes, but they lost control of them a long time ago.

You make good points, Mike.

Do you have ideas about how this all should be addressed, Mike? I know I am not keen to see US boots on the ground in the Middle East anymore. We made errors, we won't be able to correct them. Just leave the Middle East, I say. Let the Saudis and the rest sort it all out. I fear in 100 years we will be able to state with 20/20 hindsight how we should have done things. Would that we had that prescience now.
