This Week's Episode: Gene and cohost Tim Swartz introduce a new voice to our audience, Ben Tejada-Ingram. He is known as “Anomaly Hunter” on Instagram and YouTube. His YouTube channel features his group’s investigations of Bigfoot and the occult, the south’s “Skinwalker Ranch” and paranormal activity at a haunted axe throwing range located in Sandy, Oregon. His recent book: “The Last Dinosaur of the Lost World: My Search for ‘Little Nessie,'” deals with the possibility that prehistoric creatures could still be alive on the Auyán-tepui mountain, located in remote Venezuela. In this interview, Ben will also offer his views on the Pentagon’s reported UFO whistleblower, David Grusch, and he will talk about his introduction to paranormal investigations. He is also a musician and he has long held a fascination with the unknown such as UFOs, ghosts, hauntings and cryptid creatures.

After The Paracast — Available exclusively for Paracast+ subscribers on August 6: Author and podcaster Ben Tejada-Ingram returns to talk with Gene and cohost Tim Swartz about his ongoing Bigfoot research, and whether there is actually a cover-up, possibly government directed, to hide the truth behind such creatures. Ben also discusses the value — or lack thereof — of paranormal reality shows in providing accurate public information on the subject. Claims of demonic UFOs are also included. Ben has long held a fascination with the unknown such as UFOs, ghosts,d hauntings and cryptid creatures. He is known as “Anomaly Hunter” on Instagram and his YouTube channel, and his recent book: “The Last Dinosaur of the Lost World: My Search for ‘Little Nessie,'” deals with the possibility that prehistoric creatures could still be alive on the Auyán-tepui mountain, located in remote Venezuela.

So Are Flying Saucers Crashing All Over the Place?
By Gene Steinberg

So if you can believe a common meme in the UFO field, there have been many crashes of UFOs around the world over the decades or perhaps centuries. Some Earth governments have been laboring for years to reverse engineer the advanced technology that may exceed the light speed barrier. Imagine being able to drive a car or fly an airplane for years without needing to refuel, or even require preventive maintenance.

Really?

Is it possible that so many presumed extraterrestrial craft can’t make successful trips through Earth’s atmosphere without losing power and crashing to the ground or in the water?

Really?

Consider the most common belief about the flying saucers, that they are visitors from other planets, planets that orbit other star systems. In other words, they possess propulsion systems that are hundreds or thousands of years ahead of ours. Even if the physical craft that we see are just scout ships, parked inside a much larger craft, a mothership that traverses the stars, it wouldn’t make a difference.

While we can’t pretend to understand alien logic, it defies our logic to believe that the craft ET dispatches into our skies can’t handle the trips without incident. After all, we primitive Earthlings can manufacture aircraft that doesn’t fail all that often. And even when they do, most of the failures don’t result in the loss of life.

So you would think that, after a few hundred years or so, an advanced civilization would know how to built flying machines that just don’t fail. Or if they do, there are protections and redundant systems to keep the craft aloft, or to enable a controlled landing.

Now I suppose ETs might have their own spaceship production schemes that are rife with politics. So the contracts to build them are given to the lowest bidder, or perhaps the bidder who can supply a few “incentives” to convince the authorities to award the deal to them.

Perhaps the spaceships they bring to Earth have quality control issues that will cause occasional failures. All it would take are one or two to gain the attention of the locals, assuming that the crashes occur in areas where people visit.

But that also raises the larger question, which is how many flying saucer crashes actually represent the arrival of an off-world vehicle.

If you believe the literature, there may be dozens or hundreds. But without going into detail, it’s fair to say that many of these claims just don’t pass the smell test. There’s not enough evidence to confirm such incidents.

As to the rest: Well, maybe some involve a terrestrial test aircraft. It’s not one of ours, it’s from another country conducting surveillance.

Indeed, the folks who are managing the Pentagon’s UAP investigation project, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) clearly want you to believe that most sightings are of conventional aircraft. They insist, over and over and over again, that there is no evidence of the presence of off-world technology, crashes of off-world vehicles and possibly its crew, or attempts to reverse engineer off-world technology.

But there is the claim from Pentagon whistleblower David Grusch that those disputed statements are simply untrue. He asserts that he has spoken with people who have seen or worked with alien technology, that our scientists are busy trying to determine just how they do it and whether we can take advantage of it.

But when you ask him for evidence, he says he can’t deliver any, but has told members of Congress he could provide more details in a secure area. Unfortunately, he still hasn’t been asked, even though he did mention it repeatedly when he testified, under oath, before a House subcommittee hearing on July 26, 2023.

Lacking any proof, let’s just set that aside, even though I am not doubting Grusch’s veracity. Perhaps he’s made some assumptions that don’t accurately reflect what’s really going on. Perhaps he’s lying, despite being under oath and subject to perjury charges should he be caught. Perhaps he’s a disinformation agent, acting on a plan to confuse and befuddle people about UAPs.

It wouldn’t be the first time.

But let’s assume, for the time being, that extraterrestrials are present amongst us, and that we see their aircraft from time to time.

If that’s the case, does that explain all the reports of crashes?

When you separate the ones that appear to have merit from the ones that don’t, there’s still a logical conundrum.

First, which ones have merit? At the very least, the 1947 Roswell, NM incident appears to have involved a genuine crash of something. There’s plenty of testimony, some of it consistent enough to get a fairly distinct picture of what went on.

Another possibility is the 1996 UFO crash at Varginha, Brazil. James Fox’s excellent movie, “Moment of Contact,” paints a compelling picture of a genuine episode. There’s also the claim that the U.S. military took possession of the wreckage. Add that to the alleged Roswell wreckage.

I won’t waste space to debate the rest of the crash claims that I’ve read about. It doesn’t change my concerns.

Just consider how we’d manage the crash of one of our surveillance vehicles in another country. We’d certainly want to retrieve the wreckage if we can, but certain countries wouldn’t allow that. Regardless, we’d certainly try to disable onboard electronics so they don’t discover our secrets.

What would an advanced civilization do if the relatively primitive inhabitants of a planet they are exploring gets ahold of one of their ships? Would they just let it happen? Would they at least make some effort to recover the craft? After all, they are way ahead of us, so recovery would be relatively easy.

Indeed, they could even manipulate the memories of the people at the crash site so they wouldn’t recall what happened. Or maybe it would be retrieved during transport to a military base. It’s hard to believe they would do absolutely nothing and let it happen.

If it happened.

But the logic behind Roswell, Varginha and other UFO events is that ET would allow the recovery of their technology to occur and do absolutely nothing about it.

Really?

I suppose one can argue that the crashes were deliberate, designed to test our technology and see if we can learn anything from the wreckage to advance our civilization. If things go astray, they would undoubtedly have a number of methods to ensure their security.

Or perhaps the crashed spaceship was an older model, ready for recycling, so they just allowed it to crash and left it to the locals to make sense of it.
