UFO Silencers target researcher Isaac Koi

Free episodes:

That’s brutal Mike, so what do you suggest..., probation, or, hard time?

Red mentioned earlier that although difficult, given time, the credibility of Roe & Lukes could possibly be re-established. I have to wonder if this is at all possible given that Roe hasn’t even bothered in showing up to defend his credibility, and instead has apparently chosen to rely upon Erica Lukes to apply magical ointment to their self-inflected wounds.

It is no great wonder that some would desire the suppression of their detractor’s negative comments by outing them, as there is an abundance of excellent journalism which takes place in the shadows, where informants remain anonymous.

Follow the money Folks.

Isaac wasnt the only one to expose the Roswell slides as not being an alien. But hes an easy target for those who got caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
It was Gilles Fernandez not Isaac who made the comments Erica takes umbrage to, but again Isaac was an easy target.

He did say this.

"A new group - with the rather grand title of the International Association of U.A.P. Researchers - (apparently linked to Ted Roe of NARCAP, Ruben Uriate of MUFON and Erica Lukes) is offering "qualified, approved" membership to UAP/UFO "scholars and researchers" for US$75 per year to those that meet the group's approval."

Its its suggested this was the reason Ted threatened him.

Its a cunning plan to be sure, They get money, and power. One presumes that if you go against the cabal, dare to suggest a case they are supporting (milking) is bogus they can pull your accreditation. (No refunds though i bet)

I'll close with some quotes from other places about this matter

So after reading Isaacs comment about the $75 charge do any of you think he should be castigated for it? I don't.

No , unsurprisingly I agree and it may point to the real motive behind Ted Roe's reaction.
Ufology doesn't need a paid membership based organisation to progress , perhaps Roe does.

I don't think the International Association of U.A.P. Researchers is aimed at researchers but more the people inclined to join Greer's CE5 initiative.

Seems the cash with some totally false justification is what Mr Roe wanted, self praise is no praise, describing themselves as "qualified and fit to approve" is nonsense, those of us who would read such material would judge if you are qualified, not yourselves..

Just a tat money making scheme, as for the vetting, I wonder how much of that is taken care of by the 75 dollars and boot licking of Mr Roe.

More elitist nonsense......The UFO community does not need this, sounds like a 2nd rate Greer wannabe setup...

Roes organizations are mud now.
I'd rather see UFO research return to this board than people go pay 75$ to fund a UFO theme park under the guise of a peer reviewed research.

I have read and engaged Roe and TBH after hour of dialogue with him, I wanted to stick a fork in my eyes, I thought it would be easier talk down a teenage girl fighting over a pair of shoes with her hair extension wearing nemesis.

UFOLogy is retarded.

Isaac is one of the few worth reading.

Isaac Koi is leaving UFOlogy because Ted Roe demands he expose his identity and no longer be anonymous. Who the hell does this guy think he is?
I don't think so Ted. If Isaac does not wish to reveal his identity he doesn't. period.

Issac has contributed to the field and is it's premiere archivist.
Koi is an absolute treasure to the community

Bullying in ufology.
What a pathetic display from Roe.
How do we stop this from happening?

Who the hell is this Ted Roe guy?

Never heard of him and Google ain't helping.

Isaac has posted quality work here for years.Sounds like Ted is a real piece of work.

Koi's work puts NARCAP's work to shame. I can see why it would do this. They are even more meaningless now.

Isaac, thanks for all the great work over the years.

There are plenty more, but you get the public sentiment.

has apparently chosen to rely upon Ericka Lukes to apply magical ointment to their self-inflected wounds.

Which can best be described as catching a little girl with chocolate all over her face and fingers standing next to the destroyed cake insisting "I wasn't, i didn't......"

For some reason I have a hard time being mad at little girls with chocolate all over their face. Maybe I'm too forgiving, but looking at that string of posts, @Erica Lukes isn't the only one to get her hands dirty. It's an all out food fight ... lol. I think it's funny and so far as I'm concerned Koi just couldn't take it and ran home to momma :p .

Have you actually read any of the background story ?. Because if you have and thats what you take from this, I have to question your comprehension skills.

This attack on Isaac Koi is Erica Lukes' revenge enacted by Ted Roe, fallout in part from the Roswell Slides fiasco. Lukes was a guest host for MUFON's show on KGRA where she interviewed Jaime Maussan between BeWitness and his MUFON symposium appearance, allowing him to defend the Slides against the critics he said were trying to discredit him. Her primary concern was trying to get the meanies to stop saying unfavorable things about her friends. Lukes has referred to Maussan and Paola Harris as role models that have guided and supported her. She sees anyone criticizing the fakes that these two promote as hateful debunking abusive meanies. She apparently saw the team that exposed BeWitness in that light. Isaac Koi, Chris Rutkowski and I were among the members of the "Roswell Slides Research Group," and it's tragically comic that Lukes rushed in to defend yet another fake photo of a dead alien, this starting this disgusting episode.

When Isaac posted a notice about Ted Roe's new IAUAPR group, I asked that since Erica was a member would her mentors Maussan & Paola Harris be a part of it. I'm sure that infuriated her, and her boss Ted Roe came to her defense and started a feud with Isaac. It trailed off when Isaac refused to respond to Roe's insults.

Erica Lukes found an opportunity to strike back. At the discussion at ET Disclosure International, the topic of Isaac's anonymity came up. Erica seized on this and then Ted Roe took over for her. She'd like to punish me, Gilles Fernandez and the other "meanies," but found Isaac Koi an easier target. As a result of Roe's threats, Isaac is being forced to withdraw from ufology in order to protect his career and family. Isaac's done an invaluable service to the study of UFOs by working to preserve its history. This a huge loss to UFO scholarship.

Ted Roe is just a henchman. This is clearly the work of Erica Lukes.

Blue Blurry Lines: Erica Lukes, Ted Roe and the Attack on Isaac Koi

So lets flesh out the detail.

Someone mentions this photo
Koi Alien Photo 01 - IsaacKoi

And uses the Argument From authority to insist its real.

Chris Bledsoe :As I said I didn't write the book a very smart and qualified scientist with more credentials than most anyone you have ever met authored this book and claims it's real! You should ask him if you and your group want to debunk him! I for one believe him because I have known him for almost 10 years he comes from NASA and the US Naval Observatory if you think you can discredit him have at it!

This is a logical fallacy.

An appeal to authority is an argument from the fact that a person judged to be an authority affirms a proposition to the claim that the proposition is true.

Appeals to authority are always deductively fallacious; even a legitimate authority speaking on his area of expertise may affirm a falsehood, so no testimony of any authority is guaranteed to be true.
Logical Fallacies» Appeal to Authority

Chris Bledsoe: You should call Dr Povenmire and ask him I think his credentials speak for themselves. He started observations of the sky and moon before you were born and is still active. He heads the press core at NASA!

Erica jumps in and using the same argument from authority defends Chris, and by extension Povenmire and his claim the photo is of a genuine alien.

Erica :I understand your point but Chris has read his book Chris has had a personal friendship with him so he might know more than the rest of us.

Personality's and loyalty's take precedence over the actual facts of the matter as they relate to the photo. At no stage was any counter argument given to why the photo is indeed genuine, no argument as to why Isaacs facts as published are wrong. No as usual don't let the facts get in the way of a good hoax.

And these very same people have the Chutzpah to set themselves up as experts and want to charge ppl 75 bucks a pop for their stamp of approval, as if the approval of people who use logical fallacy's like the argument from authority instead of the facts is worth anything.

When you look at their modus operandi in the case of this photo, and the slides.........

No wonder they had it in for Isaac. All he did was put out good solid facts and evidence and let you make your own mind up.
These guys have a "We are the experts, don't question our conclusions, we don't need no stinkin facts, our guy works for NASA so it must be true" attitude.

Self proclaimed experts who ignore the clear evidence its an April fools joke. Ufology needs people like Isaac, not them.

Created as a scientific “Unincorporated Not for Profit Association”, (501c3), IAUAPR will be exempt from tax liability.

Let us just hope & pray together they have something truly scientific to show the rest of the world, because reading the paragraph below and then considering Erica Lukes propensity in crediting entertainers as bona fide researchers, any reasonable human would have to consider who might be vetting these so-called “College of experts”.

From IAUAPR:

“The IAUAPR College of Experts is an active membership and requires approval. Members of the College of Experts participate in refereeing and coaching studies and publications, develop, design, implement and participate in organizational initiatives, serve on the science board and in focus groups. They choose members of the Science board serve on the Editorial Board and generally provide expert support. College of Experts members have either a relevant academic credential or are published experts that meet the standards of publication for the IAUAPR.”

Yup, Teddy's got a new inflatable swimming pool in his backyard, wants to charge all the kids $75 to play, and only those who aren't on Santa's naughty list get in :p .

Yes. All 151 paqes of it and more, which is exactly why it looks like a bunch of misbehaving children in the playground to me :p. It wouldn't be the first time ... lol.

Randall as you know i have great respect for you and more often than not agree with your point of view.I agree that there is a great deal of petulance going on over this issue and certain people need to grow up.However where i do strongly disagree is about anonymity. You know of my law enforcement background and i have seen prejudice up close.I was told by a senior detective how he had favoured one candidate over another for a job because the unlucky candidate played the wrong code of rugby.I myself saw a colleague at a spiritualist meeting and he begged me not to tell anyone.(I never would have).I know how brutal the macho culture in the police force can get and the law fraternity can be similar. If Mr Koi is a barrister i completely understand why he doesn't make his hobby public knowledge. Some people will judge him to be a weirdo and it could very well impact on his career.I remain anonymous as having socialised with lots of my clients my credibility would be questioned by some of them if i told them I'd seen a ufo.I admire your bravery in being open about who you are but i myself am not prepared to risk my livelihood over a hobby.

Okay, so perhaps I was being a bit over-generous when I said that Lukes and Roe would be able regain their credibility. I had first considered that perhaps one of the reasons Ted was looking to provoke Isaac was because he wanted to put that information behind a paywall. Then @mike appears to find the reason for the attack when Isaac, among others, questioned the subscription basis of the new group.

It should also be noted that group where the really agregious comments occurred has declared itself to be a debunking free zone where everyone needs to approach the information with an "open mind". Oh, sure.

I checked the website for the Ted's new group, and there is nothing to indicate what criteria they use. In all instances, I'm a fan of more transparancy and if they can't cleary delineate that for a supposedly more scientific approach, I think it speaks for itself.

Anyway, Ted and Erica should be well aware by now that ufology, at times, is circular firing squad. People who start crap like this rarely come out of it without egg on their faces. If Ted and Erica can't even to manage this dust up without turning it into a PR nightmare, it doesn't really give me much hope for the continued survival of their organization.

As for @Usual Suspect, and his strange attraction for women and chocolate cake. Speechless, truly.

This is Erica Lukes most recent UFO Classified show from 12/9.

While listening @ the 2:24 mark, you will notice Lukes is attempting to spin the damage she created while deflecting any well-founded criticism away from herself by mentioning Curt Collins blog article, and yet failing to mention what prompted said article. Furthermore, Lukes went on to suggest that Collins was incorrect in every fact, which made her wonder about the quality and accuracy of his other research. Lukes then embarked on a prattling spree to suggest that the problem with Ufology is; negative people like Collins are the ones responsible for keeping witnesses and serious researchers from participating. She then feebly asserts that because of her relationship with MUFON, the gushing over Maussan was necessary.

Erica Lukes:

“I really feel it is not the fact that we have all the charlatans and hoaxers in the field, it is actually because we have a small group of really disrespectful people who resort to bullying and intimidation to try to discredit people.”

I do believe there is a word for this …

In addition, here is a newly posted image by Paola Harris, showing a joyful trio including Erica Lukes & Jamie Maussan.

Paola Leopizzi Harris added a new photo... - Paola Leopizzi Harris | Facebook

If Ms./Mrs. Lukes insists on continuing her course of misinformation, she is likely to make Linda Moulton Howe appear credible.
