Unfortunately it's just a colony of tubifex worms but it sure had me scratching my head when I first saw the clip.
 
The tubiflex worm explanation seems like bullshit. I'll believe it when I see a video/photographic example that fits, I've looked there aren't any photos that remotely fit online.
