Karl Marx, Jew-Hating Douchebag

Free episodes:

You are making a cross cultural correlation which can be dangerous, the problem with history is we tend to attach our current cultural bias to it.

That is true. We can criticize the Aztecs' practice of sacrificing humans to the gods but it was normal at the time. Hitler and Marx's anti-semitism was normal for that era.

Abraham Lincoln's statements that blacks were sub-human should be taken in context. Jefferson was only participating in the economic system he was born into.

But that still does not excuse Marx's exploitation of his workers, alcoholism, cheating on his wife, and foul character.

What's really interesting to me is the irrational fear and hate displayed by people like little Jimi above when confronted with the ugly truth about an icon they have been brain-washed by popular culture to revere.

I suspect this comes from not reading books like the one I linked to in my first post.

True enough.

I guess as a society and individuals we tend to cherry pick the pits we like and ignore the rotten bits (very true when it comes to religion). You know this is one of the reasons I avoid finding out about a particular musician I like because finding out they are a scum bag tends to affect how you listen to the music.

Ha! I never thought about it, but you're right. There is a famous guitar player I idolized and tried to emulate when I was a kid. I even spent a small fortune (for me at the time) to buy his reproduction guitar.

Many years later I met him in person in Dallas and discovered he was an obnoxious azzhole. I was intensely disappointed and never listened to any of his music again.

If ad hominem viewpoints are useless in discussing complex issues between living individuals, they are mostly less so in evaluating the implications of complex philosophies of the deceased. Great men (gender generically) have great flaws. And I think, based on reading historical biographies, that prominent men throughout history almost always have had two things: mistresses and an egotistical temper. Who said--paraphrased--that it's the SOBs that make a real difference in this world ? Unpleasant, I think. But largely true.

Global Research does some great work, but they are blinded by their faith in socialism.
"All this for the ultimate profit of the “Robber Barons” who perpetrated a barbarism of the human species that perverted the human soul itself, in an orgy of sadism possible only with the annihilation of human values that capitalism requires."

The National Socialism of Germany, Spain, the U.S., and Japan were basically the same thing as the International Socialism of Russia and China. They are human farming systems set up by banking cartels that extract wealth from poor people and redistribute it to rich people.

Professor Anthony Sutton's books detailing Wall Street's finance of global socialism are easy-to-read and free on the internet. Here he outlines the Military Industrial Complex's maintenance of socialism...

I made the stupid mistake of reading this first when I wasn't logged in, and again got pissed off by this Charlie-troll.

Anyways:
What's really interesting to me is the irrational fear and hate displayed by people like little Jimi above when confronted with the ugly truth about an icon they have been brain-washed by popular culture to revere.
Dude, you're shameless, and a bully and a troll.

Funny thing is, I knew all about Marx' flaws, I never idealized him, nor did I ever idealize Communism, which I have never supported, like you did (or so you say!?). You're the one who was idealizing, uhh, who was it, Stalin?

I told you to stop idealizing historical persons because they rarely deserved the accolades. But in response you accuse me of idealizing Marx and being brain-washed, lol. That's just weird, man, really weird. And it's bullying.

You speak about the 'feudalism' of the left, yet refuse to respond to the fact that that income gaps are (by far) the widest in laissez-faire unregulated societies. Etc. etc. How can you speak about 'feudalism' when people can get a college degree without putting down a dollar, yet at the same are free to do or speak whatever they want? It just doesn't add up.

I tell you what, since you come across as a person who argues and quite possibly thinks in very simplistic black/white terms, I imagine you'll also be susceptible to various problematic 'final solutions' in the future. Your monomaniacal soapboxing here (completely irrelevant to paranormal phenomena) could well indicate that you've latched on to some other source of Ultimate Truth, perhaps the direct opposite of the last thing. Otherwise, I imagine you should be able to discuss the middle-ground too. But you won't, - or can't?

Your simplistic catch-phrases sound exactly like something from the Tea Party ('free health care is not free' - regards, captain obvious). You argue just like those guys, because you argue with extreme conviction, yet at the same with what appears to be an acute lack of will to gain insight into political theory and to what extent for instance Communism informs real world leftist thinking. In essence you come off as a systematic ad-hominem troll: If I speak about the benefits of social democracy, you respond by saying I'm brain-washed. That's trolling, at best. All your inputs make me really suspicious of your motives for being here.

Jimi, when I attempted to discuss ideas and facts with you, your response was to Ad Hominem me with labels like Tea Partier, Bully, Monomaniac, etc.

And now you accuse me of that tactic. C'mon man. Hypocrisy like that is rude and unproductive.

You ignored my assertions. I would appreciate your evaluations whether the following statements are true, or false:

* Healthcare can be free.

* Higher education can be free.

* Some countries have a "progressive tax structure".

* Corporations enjoy regulations, and write most of them.

* Ayn Rand advocated free markets.

* The current global economic system is capitalistic.

In order to honestly and rationally evaluate any idea, you must first excise falsehoods and properly define your terms. That endeavor is not "word games" as you say. It's discussion.
