Is Trump a Fake Billionaire?

At one time Donald Trump boasted of being worth $10 billion — I suppose in his own mind.

He hasn't been able to prove it. In the recent trial against Trump, his adult sons and his companies, he was found liable for upwards of $450 million for fraud. He allegedly inflated his worth and the value of his properties by billions. To appeal, he has to post that number to avoid the state going after his properties.

Should be a piece of cake for a multi-billionaire right?

Well take a gander at this clear admission that he doesn't have as much money as he claims:

He's a clown and a demagogue. It speaks volumes about the stupidity of the electorate (and hence the viability of democracy, long-term) that somebody like that commands so much devotion.
That said, I was glad to see him clobber Haley in the recent primaries. Haley has been called an "Israel ass-kisser" just like US politicians generally. It was good to see zionist donors waste so much $ backing her.

I think we have to be fair to his MAGA believers. Many of them have gotten raw deals in their personal lives, and they blame the system. Trump makes them believe he'll destroy the system with a wrecking ball and make things great again for them. Of course, he doesn't care about them; he only cares about the power to keep the courts from throwing him in the slammer.

They're obviously dumb to believe in Trump, to the point where they scatter rationality to the four winds. That a buffoon gets so much support is proof democracy is unworkable.

I won't tell you what to believe, but I want to consider that people who disagree with you — even if there seems no logical reason for them to support someone or something — with compassion. They aren't bad people however you consider the authenticity of what they follow.

My first in-laws were Methodists, I Jewish. I did go to different churches to see what they did. I didn't share their religious beliefs but they were wonderful, kind and generous. Even after my marriage failed, they remained friends.

They may not be bad in the sense of wanting to do wrong or messing things up; unfortunately that's the result since their lack of intelligence leads to poor political choices that affect all of us.

They say Daddy Trump has given Uncle Donald at least $413M. He is not a self-made man he claims at all. In reality, he is a man who actually has bankrupted casinos! (For real - a casino is a license to print money!) So yes, I don't believe his claims of net worth.

Seeing as he's already been caught, and found liable, for lying about real estate values for his properties, it's pretty reasonable to assume he's lying about a lot more things financially. I imagine most of his supporters simply enjoy him because of he makes other people (that they don't like) angry. I don't think it's much deeper than that. His base is constantly making up new existential threats that he supposedly will save them from.

He was cataloged as making 30,000 false or misleading statements during his tenure as President. Politicians lie all the time. Trump does it sometimes several times in a single minute.

What a disappointment - Nikki Haley dropped from the race. So we are seeing 2020 again, aren't we? If I was democrats, I'd find a new bit younger candidate - but I guess in the US that is an impossibility.

Unless something serious occurs, such as illness of either candidate or Trump's conviction of one or more felonies, what we see is what we get.

And for those who think Biden has severe dementia, here's an analysis of Trump's growing cognitive difficulties in his public speeches:

That doesn't mean Biden is perfect. He is, after all, 81. He stumbles through a speech because of a lifelong stuttering problem. But he still seems to have his marbles.
