Hello,

I recently completed a new paper titled "Budd Hopkins' Training in Hypnosis and Observations on the Quality of his Hypnosis Work".
It explores and documents exactly how Budd Hopkins was trained in hypnosis and how a broad array of individuals, including qualified
mental health professionals, assessed its quality after observing it and/or experiencing it.

The reason for constructing this paper is to consolidate and elucidate the issue as it is often distorted, and otherwise inaccurately reported
on, when discussed and presented publicly.

The paper can be read online or downloaded in pdf format for reading offline at the links below:

I hope you all find this new paper of interest,

Sincerely,

Sean F. Meers

P.S. I've also recently obtained original copies of John Mack's and Budd Hopkins' rebuttals to the 1996 PBS NOVA episode
"Kidnapped by UFOs?"

John Mack's rebuttal is available below:

If you will, let me take a different - what I would call a more accurate POV - on the idea called hypnosis. I am sure that you have the detractors to hypnosis yet the realization is that we’re always hypnotizing ourselves to perceive whatever specific reality that we wish anyway. All hypnosis is always self-hypnosis, by agreement.

Now there is the operative side of the hypnosis concept, that is what is actually going on? Was Cortile, for e.g., recalling past events hidden deep within her sub/unconscious mind? No, there is no past so what was she (and other hypnosis clients) actually reporting? False memories? No, there are no memories. Figments of imagination? A little closer.

What Cortile was relating was a completely valid experience (you cannot imagine what is unimaginable) that came from a one or several parallel realities because, remember, we create our physical reality by 'assembling' static frames into a coherent, linear system with continuity. Billions of times per second, a testament to how powerful of a creative machine we are.

Point being is that hypnosis is a very real, misunderstood phenomena, misunderstood by the best in the business.

If you take this more holistic view of hypnosis (or remote viewing or several other similar methodologies), you have an explanation and a response to those who wish to detract from the Cortile-like cases.
