The Roswell Questions Not Being Asked
By Gene Steinberg

When you think of the Roswell UFO crash, you can well believe that it amounts to ironclad proof that we are being visited by extraterrestrials. Just put together the common claims, that a spaceship crashed in the New Mexico desert in 1947, and that the bodies of dead or dying aliens were also recovered by the military.

The wreckage — and one assumes its crew — were transported to some unknown location in the U.S. Perhaps it was Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, or its mysterious and legendary Hangar 18, and let’s not forget Area 51 near Las Vegas. Indeed, the 1996 sci-fi blockbuster film “Independence Day depicted an alien spaceship as being studied by scientists at the latter location.

There are alternate theories, ranging from a test balloon to a test aircraft, and they all lack proof. Official government explanations have included Project Mogul balloons and crash test dummies.

Now for the sake of argument, let’s go with the spaceship theory. An advanced aircraft built on another planet crashes for some unknown reason. So what would the consequences be?

Consider the situation from the standpoint of ET. One of its surveillance aircraft develops a mechanical or electronic problem and is forced to crash. No sense speculating as to why, and the assumption it might have been caused by our radar seems foolish. One would think an intelligent race of beings sufficiently advanced to travel across interstellar space would not be so vulnerable to one of our primitive inventions.

Again, the reason doesn’t matter. I sometimes suggest it’s all because the spaceship was assembled by the lowest bidder.

So I’m applying our own political interactions. Sure, contactees and channelers will claim that ET has evolved way beyond our petty human behavior. But, as anyone who has seen Star Trek and Star Wars films will observe, our sci-fi vision of various extraterrestrial races presents some as not altogether different from humans when it comes to behavior and motivations.

Of course, we’d like to think ET has grown beyond the tribal instincts that persist among humans and evolved to a “higher level.” At least, that’s what contactees and channelers are told, but there is no reason to believe them. It’s not as if there’s a measure of credibility to the claim of higher moral standards. Consider abductions, where people are kidnapped from dirt roads, backyards, or perhaps from their bedrooms. How that would be regarded as presentable behavior is beyond me, even if the victims of such behavior welcome their captors.

They most assuredly must have some higher purpose in mind, right?

In any case, let’s consider the alleged crew of a spacecraft that has a mishap and crashes on Earth. One assumes the vessel is not the only one on Earth, since UFO sightings were quite widespread, especially in the early days of the modern era. One assumes they’d be in contact with their fellow travelers, right? So if they were in trouble and in danger of crashing, what would their compatriots, partners-in-crime do?

Nothing?

Wouldn’t they want to help, perhaps retrieve the injured crew and treat them? Even if ET had a libertarian bent, would they be so callous as to ignore the plight of their kind? Or is it all beings for themselves?

Even then, wouldn’t they want to take steps to keep their advanced technology out of the hands of those oh-so-primitive and warlike humans? Wouldn’t they want to make sure that beings who are not yet sufficiently evolved to exploit such technology are not allowed to possess it?

Or would the crash have let the cat out of the bag, so to speak, and thus the crash victims would be abandoned to their own fates? Would that make any sense to you?

Of course, if the Roswell crash really involved ET, it’s hard for humans to predict how alien beings, even if they seemed humanoid, would be trained to manage such a disaster. Maybe that is the plan, that they are left to their own fates, to cope for themselves.

If Earthlings managed to make use of their technology, well maybe they’ll be sufficiently advanced when the time comes not to worry about the consequences.

But how would we react to such a happenstance? We are exploring another planet, one of our ships crashes, seriously damaging the craft and injuring its occupants. Would we just summarily abandon the victims, or would we take steps to recover our crew and technology so as not to interfere with the affairs of the less-advanced locals?

Isn’t that the Star Trek way?

But wait a minute!

Is that at all possible, that after the recovery operation at Roswell, we lost possession of the wreckage because ET took it all away from us? Is that one reason why its fate is so cloaked in secrecy or shrouded in unfounded rumors?

Perhaps we already had contact with ET, and made arrangements with them on how best to handle possible crash wreckage. In either case, they’d retrieve their technology, and the injured crew members would be recovered and taken away for possible treatment, assuming any of them survived.

Now that would be the secret of the ages. But it would also mean that there would be no physical evidence that could be recovered or examined. If you wonder whether we were able to reverse engineer alien technology retrieved at Roswell, the answer is that we can’t! It’s not that we don’t have the ability, it’s that we don’t have it anymore.

Maybe we never had it. Perhaps the efforts to cover up Roswell are the result of what really occurred.

And the latter might be a distinct possibility since the current government UAP investigations pretend — or assume — that decades of sightings do not actually exist. Or they just aren’t that important. The Roswell crash is being ignored — other than those old Mogul claims — because there’s nothing left on Earth to investigate.

Whether it happened with our approval or without, it affords plenty of plausible deniability. We don’t possess a crashed spaceship! But not because we never had it, but because they, in their infinite wisdom, took it away from us.

Sure, another crazy Roswell theory, but one that’s probably about as provable as the ones that many accept.

It reminds me of the US Senator whose enjoyed many years in the military complex pushing disclosure and his team of experts on some of the subject matter were part of the cover-up. As stated all speculation about the ongoing events. Yes the Flying Saucers-Fast Trackers original term not the ones front loaded with one political dogma it's all peace and love not a threat. It would be very naive to think a Star Trek scenario rather more likely a number of plausible explanations. Scholar Jacques Vallee theories on its capabilities of manipulation of human awareness .Scholar-Author John Keel was spot on it tends to show different capabilities through the decades. The Brazel Ranch Roswell Crashes is one of many events and is a strong case of the Cold War phenomenon in action. Having seen the phenomenon in a number of setting and read a number of files, watched videos and listen audio interactions this is not a walk in the park ongoing phenomenon it has extreme dark force and yes it shows a calming side not peaceful. The nuclear events seem to go hand in hand and those who suggest it telling humanity stop building or setting off test is horseshit . The fact is folks are making money from the US Senators push for disclosure and we had that in elements of Project Blue Book. The rest I keep and share it in a book with Don.
