UPDATE! Please Fix Your Profiles!

7/21/2008 Update:

The transition to our new forum has left a few issues, but the list is smaller than it used to be:

  1. Weird error message when you view a member's profile. This is the result of a bogus birth date, probably added as a result of a previous forum change. You don't have to reveal your age, or your birthday, so just alter this as appropriate, so double-check your settings in the User CP to make sure they're the way you want them to be. And don't forget to update your custom avatars.
  2. Fix your birth dates. They don't have to be displayed -- or you can display just the day and month and not the year. But some default to 2007 or 2008 dates, which is, of course, a little strange. :)
  3. Bad links to older messages. The URL format is somewhat different, so this is understandable. Don't know how we're going to fix that.
  4. YouTube links no longer require special code, or embedded code. Just post the actual URL of images from YouTube, Google Videos and a bunch of other popular sites, and our new software will parse the code and, most times at least, place the video in its own embedded window, with complete playback controls. It's all done automatically; you don't have to do anything special.
Any other problems, let us know. Last time we moved forums, we had only a fraction of our current membership and threads, so the situation is naturally a little more complicated now.
