UFO/Paranormal/"conspiracy" music:

Han

piscator ψ
I have found that Flying saucers etc are mentioned in music some references are more obscure than others.
Here are a few off the top of my head:

Jefferson_Airplane_-_Early_Flight_Cover.jpg

*warning next one has explicit lyrics*

Lyric of note:
Have you ever thought there might be something out there?
Far out, way out
Would you think those movies are insinuating?
Look out, look out
Do you think you'd even know one if you saw one?
Watch out, watch out
If you think the government just don't know nothing
Watch out, watch out!!!!!!!

Lyric of note:

We've got a box to put in your brain
Hard wired for downloading
All the secrets and the mysteries
You've been selfishly withholding

*warning explicit*

Lyric:

Gatekeeper]
Gaze upon the stars, Allah U Akbar
Gomer Oz Dumar, Gatekeep shine rays upon the Gods
Diamond crystal lens mind reflects above the sword
Above the head, damage your God-body Judge Dredd
Nuff said,
silence acts relentless brutal when attack
A hundred times, more power, poundin media shower
I confront you wise man or spring off like Geechee Dan
In a land, enchanted by crystal been in galactic
Meant potential, potent, mind increases through the smokin
Balance a dextraphobin high explosive explosions
Weak and meager, I amputate your lever dissect your pever
Make your diva deep, throw off my second teaser
Activate off thought waves, picked up by Moray
Eels makin you distill back to earth like a astro
In a light fluffy form called snow...

*Warning explicit*

Gravediggaz - Elimination Process - YouTube

Lyric oi:

Now General, since you've accepted this hazardous mission
You and your team will be equipped with special weapons
Unleashing this force will create devastating consequences
The normal equator of this weapon is pure sonic energy
Blasted through the lonics chamber and the palm of your hand
Use this force wisely, seek and destroy the enemy&

Marching with an army of extraterrestrial beings
Descended from celestial peons, been fighting the holy war for eons
Wise words that guided missiles, Yacub play with steel
Gods use mental pistols and Ezekiel's wheel

more to follow

Lyric oi:

Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind!

Like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving in a half forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind!

Keys that jingle in your pocket, words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly? Was it something that you said?
Lovers walking along a shore and leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway and the fragment of a song
Half remembered names and faces, but to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over you were suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning to the color of her hair!
Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
As the images unwind, like the circles that you find in
The windmills of your mind!

Synchronicity #1 (oddly enough when I was looking for organ pictures of Yamaha's from the 1980's I immediately found a picture of the same one that currently sits dormant in my chilhood home)

As a child of the 70's I played the organ, mostly Yamaha's, really large crazy ones in competition as a teen, but in the early years I came to this song in one of the Yamaha Electone Song Books. It captivated me. Lyrics were critical parts of the song experience and some songs, by nature of their unique composition, can capture you as a musician, they lure you into their internal world (the way Eleanor Rigby and Carouselembra and Hotel California and most of Floyd does) and this song had me hooked into it right away. It starts immediately into the middle of the spinning kaleidescope of existence, the wild unknowing canival of an eleven year old's sense of profound purposelessness and vague weird desire, whirling silently in the family space, in the woods, under stars, alone. The song's repetitive rhythms set the effective stage for the English lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman, important composers of many a great hook for tv shows, Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand. Makers of great lyrics and great tunes of addictive emotions.
Synchronicity #2 (the couple that wrote the lyrics to this song are born in the same hospital and lived in the same Brooklyn neighborhood and grow up strangers but both move to L.A. and hook up there to fall in love in their own strange windmill musical journey.)
There was something quizzically mythic about the song as if each combinatory lyrical pair were evoking a Templar's riddle that just needed some more thinking about to grasp. Its version of existentialism was something of a magician's dream ricocheting in my young inexperienced brain. I would play the song incessantly, and sing along of course, despite my tone deaf singing voice. As a sidenote: later, when it was that time in every young man's life to join a rock 'n' roll band I would only be allowed to sing the punker songs that had no keyboards in them. My favorite song to sing was by The Rezillos from their album, Flying Saucer Attack, "Someone's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight." good stuff that.

In this verse I grew up a little as the song involves the listener now not just as carnival goer, quester, or dreamer, but someone who is now a part of the shifting seasons, implicated in love and mortality, a life of fragments was what I should expect then. Was that it? Was I to age, wheeling through the lives of other people, time passing in ever more rapid spirals and patterns as if I'm moving towards something subtley familiar and potentially final? Still, something lingers there, just below the surface of things, moving closer. yes that's pretty much it isn't it.
Synchroncity #3: (i see the long term design of the song was to bring me back to a truth previously known, misunderstood then forgotten.)

Not really my favourite by this band but definitely belongs on this thread. They were an exceptional live band. Other great ethereal and otherworldly spaces to follow as designed by Blue Öyster Cult.
Extra Terrestrial Intelligence

I hear the music, daylight disc
Three men in black said, "Don't report this"
"Ascension," and that's all they said
Sickness now, the hour's dread

All praise
He's found the awful truth, Balthazar
He's found the saucer news

I'm in fairy rings and tower beds
"Don't report this," three men said
Books by the blameless and by the dead
King in yellow, queen in red.

Dead leaves always give up motion
I no longer feel the motion
Where prophecy fails, the falling motion
"Don't report this, agents of fortune"
Astronomy

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Like acid and oil on a madman's face
His reason tends to fly away

Like lesser birds on the four winds
Like silver scrapes in May
Now the sands become a crust
And most of you have gone away

Easily one of my favourite songs our teen rock band performed - to pay Floyd was too lovely, & infused with all that very healthy Roger Waters' paranoia...Run Like Hell...
Run, run, run, run
You better make your face up in
Your favourite disguise
With your button down lips and your
Roller blind eyes
With your empty smile
And your hungry heart
Feel the bile rising from your guilty past
With your nerves in tatters
As the cockleshell shatters
And the hammers batter
Down your door
You better run
Run, run, run, run
You better run all day
And run all night
And keep your dirty feelings
Deep inside. And if your
Takin' your girlfriend
Out tonight
You better park the car
Well out of sight
'Cos if they catch you in the back seat
Trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to mother
In a cardboard box
You better run

Anyone who loves Blue Oyster Cult should seek out their little known album Imaginos. Their last album for CBS/Columbia, the songs are played by BOC members and studio musicians.

Songs include a killer take of 'Astronomy', (a much better version than on the Secret Treaties album.) Also the eerie 'In the Presence of Another World.' The lyrics include...
Your master is a monster... born of a yolkless egg. He has dominion over animals.

Imaginos is more heavy version of previous albums, if that is possible.

How could I forget this one:

There's a starman waiting in the sky
He'd like to come and meet us
But he thinks he'd blow our minds
There's a starman waiting in the sky
He's told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it's all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie

I had to phone someone so I picked on you
Hey, that's far out so you heard him too!
Switch on the TV
we may pick him up on channel two
Look out your window I can see his light

If we can sparkle he may land tonight
Don't tell your poppa or he'll get us locked up in fright

or this one:

Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man!
Look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the Lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man! Wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best selling show
Is there life on Mars?
