Hi everyone (from across the pond)—first post here, so go easy on me!
I’ve been fascinated by the recent resurgence in UFO/UAP interest. From where I’m sitting in the UK, it feels like every other documentary Netflix throws at me is about the phenomenon (though that might say more about my viewing habits than anything else…).
I’m a sci-fi obsessive, but recently finished In Plain Sight by Ross Coulthart, which gave me a nudge to finally explore an idea that’s been bouncing around in my head for a while.
They’re not from space. They’re from Earth.
Hear me out—what if it is something Earth-based, much older than us, maybe deep under the sea?
Yes, I know—it raises a million questions. But honestly, it feels more plausible to me than “another planet.”
Instead of writing a weird paper on a weird idea, I decided to turn it into a kind of fictional personal account—a short story written as if it really happened. Called 'There's Something on the Shore.'
It’s now available on Kindle under the pen name by[REDACTED], but mostly I just wanted to share the concept with people who are genuinely interested in this topic. If anyone here wants a free PDF copy, I’d be happy to send one over. Not pushing anything—just curious if the idea resonates.
Would also love to hear your thoughts on the broader concept: what if these things are part of our world, and we’re the new kids on the block?
Cheers!
