The State of the UFO Field Plus Secret Societies: Ask Micah Hanks

Micah Hanks joins us to talk about a host of topics of interest to us today. First, we look at UFOs, and why old classification systems, in a world of drones and digital imagery, may need to be revamped. Refreshing our mindset about UFOs, Hanks also discusses what evolution may have to do with the way such things are perceived, and even why some may be prone toward a skeptical mindset about them.

Also of interest, particularly in an election year, is the subject of secret groups and organizations, and the way they influence current events and world happenings. Famous conspiracy theories that involve the “Illuminati”, as well as their operations in parts of North America and Europe, have helped foster a sense that there are global “elites” seeking to control world affairs from behind the scenes… how accurate is this, and what is the real history of secret societies in the western world?

We'll be recording this segment on Thursday, April 28 at 10:30 AM Pacific/Arizona time.

According to his bio:

Micah Hanks is a writer, researcher, podcaster, lecturer and radio personality whose work addresses a variety of areas, including history, politics, scientific theories and unexplained phenomena. Open minded, but skeptical in his approach, his research has examined a broad variety of subjects over the years, incorporating interest in scientific anomalies, cultural studies, psychology, sci-fi and pop culture, government secrecy, and the prospects of our technological future as a species as influenced by science. He has also written several books.

  1. Are there still CE3 encounters (that pass the basic smell test) or have the "aliens" gone or just transformed themselves into orbs?

  2. There was a recent article on how big science doesn't behave the way it's suppose to to weed out bad ideas. In fact, many scientific papers publish theories that are taken as truth without being properly corroborated. Based on this, how sure can we really be of the validity of many of the theories and claims pronounced with the weight of the scientific establishment behind them?

  3. What is your take on the secret societies Walter Bosley has researched (Nymza and Sonora) and that they potentially have broken away from our current civilization?

Could Micah please discuss his new proposed classification system for observations of unconventional aerial objects? Thanks!

Adding to technomage's second point, what are some ways UFO and paranormal researchers/communicators themselves up their science game in order to improve our understanding of the strange?
