The Flash — Again!

Oh, and in case you don't recognize the distinctive musical style, the theme for the 1990 Flash series was composed by none other than Danny Elfman. Too bad he wasn't recruited for the current series, or Arrow.
 
I always wondered if this illustration didn't break some law of physics. I would think that if the flash could match or exceed the speed of a bullet while going in the same direction than this scene could be possible but moving in a direction perpendicular to the path of the bullet would seem to me to yield the same results as if he was standing still...one mangled hand

And I still think he should have lost his hat/helmet more often
