Ted Phillips

I'm surprised a thread has not been started on this show. So here it is....

Great, great show gentleman. As always I was enlightened with some crazy new information. Ted seems like a legit fellow, would love to hear more from him . That cave story is insane. I need to read more about that one.

Great show and a worthy guest. I noticed they have the Delphos, Kansas ring photos posted on their front page now.

It's my opinion that if you can afford to spend $10-$20 on a ufo book you can afford to send $10-$20 bucks to an active field research team that openly publishes their data.

Interesting tale about the Czeq republic - reminded me of Nick Cook's quest to find 'The Bell' test site - another alleged Nazi project.

Nick did find the 'Bell' test site in the end - or at least he believes he did. I wonder if the cave is related to 'the Bell' story?

There's also some weird connections between the Czeq republic, BMW, the Skoda factory and the Nazis.

All this from Nick Cook's "The Hunt for Zero Point" - an interesting read.

"The Hunt for Zero Point" was an excellent book. Nick would be a great guest as well. First time I've ever heard of this Czeq cave, at first I thought they were actually discussing the Bell.

I'm with the consensus on this one for sure. Good listen; at no point was I going "This is complete crap", but instead was going "Hmmm, I want to hear more about this, because this guy seems pretty level-headed about every question Gene and David hit him with."

as usual i found the show and guest an excellent listen,
i like his methodoligy

even if you dont have the cause, there is plenty of useful data to extrapolate from the effects.

a credit to the field, ive spent some time at his site today

thanks again Paracast Team for taking the time and effort to present these guests and others like them.

The Delphos, Kansas case was well dramatized in the "UFO Files" episode titled "Alien Encounters". Ted Phillips was featured, the pictures are shown in it also.
Here it is available on YouTube:

Stephen Michalak who was burned by the UFO's exhaust was also on Unsolved Mysteries and can be seen here:

Both very good cases!

I am listening now, and the only thing I can think at this point is where the hell are these "luminous ufo landing site" photos.

Bring it with the polaroids!

They are on their website and in the videos as mentioned above...

Ted Phillips has long been a sort of big but not big, name in UFO research.
In other words; rarely in the spotlight but to many hardcore UFO enthusiasts who care about "physical trace evidence" he's the man on top.
I ordered his one and only - dvd that came out a month ago. Well there are two if you count: "SIU-Files".
Haven't gotten it yet though.

Good show David, Gene. Must have Ted on again at the very least to follow up on the cave stuff.

It's shows like this that make me listen to the Paracast and hang on to the belief that the field is not entirely filled with idiots.

Yes, great show. Frankly I have found many of the last several guests to be either boring or evasive. This guy was neither. Also, he never did what David absolutely hates - speak definitely about the subject at hand. Please have him back.:)

I agree. I'd love to hear more about that cave.

David and Gene: Ask Ted back on and spelunk him properly on the cave story. Please? 8)

I also enjoyed the show very much and am intrigued about the cave, in particular. I found his trace cases interesting. I did not know there are specialists out there dealing with them. That is great to hear. I don't recall ever seeing a documentary about trace cases only, but then I am getting old and may have forgotten. : )

I do recall seeing some segments on Unsolved Mysteries and such shows years ago but hope something more recent and a compilation has been done. I'll have to look into it.

Anyway, another great show, thanks guys!

I agree with the mainstream opinion, this was a very good show, I enjoyed it very much. But I also have to piss into the bowl regarding the Slovak cave story. I'm very skeptical about it, because of the following reasons. Slovakia is a small country and it is densely populated. (It's a little bit smaller than West Virginia, with three times the population.) The Tatra mountains is a popular holiday destination, and there are a few ski resorts for winter sports. Spelunking is a popular sport over there. If there is somewhere a hole in the ground, where a child fits in, I think the probability is very high, that it was already mapped.

So this was a good story, but I think it is just that. Would love to hear more about it though. Have the pictures what Ted promised to send already arrived?

I emailed Ted to ask a few questions concerning the Marley Woods. I was surprised to hear back from him. I think you may want to keep your eye on his site because he apparently has some really important stuff coming. I hope he doesn't mind me quoting him from the email. Could be some interesting stuff.

"We now have a tremendously important case involving 'extreme' physical evidence and are trying to figure out how we can afford to pursue it ASAP so my report may be delayed a bit"

 This coming from the guy who has seen most of the best trace evidence cases ever! If Ted says it, I believe him, I am a little excited!

I doubt it's "extreme", if it was "extreme" he shouldn't be announcing it on the chance the MIB may pay a visit..
With "extreme evidence" one should say nothing but get it to major scientific sources and press within a very short period of time. Still intrigued..
