James Carrion, once an International Director of MUFON, has become controversial in theorizing that the U.S. government was engaged in "strategic deception" in creating the Ghost Rockets and other UFO-related phenomena, such as the Roswell crash.

As part of the research for his forthcoming book, "The Roswell Deception," Carrion has posted a blog (see next paragraph) revealing details about a group within the U.S. government that managed "strategic deception" in the days after World War II.

James, where do you stand on the ETH for UFOs at this point in your life and research? On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being 'UFOs are certainly or highly likely non-human intelligently controlled craft'; 5 being 'We don't really know whether there's anything of extraterrestrial going on or not'; and 1 being 'This whole subject is hoopla and human credulity run amuck', how would you rank your feel for how the evidence plays out? Please explain your answer.

What's your take on the controversial Stephen Greer?

Does the US government have an active interest in the UFO subject?

James, I think that the Roswell event may indeed have been some sort of tactical counter intel operation to attempt to uncover Soviet operatives in the US. However, I have much less confidence that a systematic strategic effort was made to deceive the world population into the ghost rocket, saucer hysteria.

What, in your estimation, was the ultimate goal of this strategic deception?

Are UFO reports by credible individuals who live out in the boonies (isolated areas) to be understood as resulting from deception operations? Put another way, why would a strategic deception operation invest lots of money to deceive isolated individuals, some of whom who would not report their sightings for years or decades?

As an F-4 Phantom radar technician in the '70's, I view the 1976 Teheran F-4--UFO incident as a highly credible encounter of an anomalous object operated by sentient beings. Is the Teheran incident a legitimate unknown in your opinion? Or is it also part of the strategic deception? What would be the goal of the deception in this case?

James, why haven't you considered the information as the human aware status? The human mind is the psyche condition that gave all scientific values, their values.

Our minds stated "an artificial condition"....and why then have you not asked, what is artificial to natural life? Science or converting nuclear natural fusion.

Why isn't the review stating, that if you change natural nuclear orbital fusion, then artificial orbital signals would be caused.

Why haven't humanity realized from ancient historical archaeological evidence of holes in Earth (modern day sink holes occurred), artifacts found inside of charcoal, above ground nucleated conditions, stone melt and also strange metal discs found embedded in the stone, as the evidence that past occultist practices, which related by review to the philosophy of the stone, also caused the artificial attack?

If human kind, who are the witnesses to the falling out conditions demonstrate by photographic evidence or by personal sight, that some form of materialized fall out was caused, then why is it so difficult to come to a conclusion about the evidence? Obviously it is unnatural scientific causation.

Wouldn't you agree, for since when is science natural to a naturally lived life?
 
In your opinion is there a strategic deception component to a more modern day UFO case... bentwaters.

If so... how is the strategic deception component playing out in this case? How are the witnesses and their experiences playing into this?

Are these guys patriots fabricating an experience for a greater strategic cause for their country?
 
James, is there any evidence that the Allies used "the (pretend) paranormal" for deception during World War 2 itself, for example to play upon Hitler's superstitions, or as part of something like Operation Fortitude?

PS I just read on James' blog a bit about Hitler's astrologer and the Allies trying to make their predictions come true - could James elaborate please?
