I've heard several different stories about this super - cooler that past few days now so i guess it's becoming a thing.

If your wondering why I posted it in the paracast forum it's because it struck me that this COULD be the result of reverse engineering some alien technology from some crash site from, oh I don't know, maybe Corona.
