>> Mystery of The Lincolnshire Lightning <<

Paranormal Novice
I read once in a book on Haunted Airfields: from the Ghost Stations series, that a R.A.F. English Electric Lightning, was recovered from the sea bed of the Lincolnshire coast, in the mid 70's... all be it in shallow water... but what is interesting, the cockpit was alledgedly closed tight and no Pilot was either recorded as having been recovered from the aircraft, or on abandoning it, prior to its placement there... indeed, the ejector seat was still found to be inside!

Such a story is indeed in print... but alas, proving it is another chapter in itself.... If true it is almost without doubt masked heavily in Government Secrecy and a mountain of red tape.
