Really nice.
What camera are you using? I think there are a few photography buffs in the forum.
I don't have anything special - I use a Rebel XS with an 18-55mm lens. It still way better than any point and shoot I have ever used. I want to buy a new lens, but I really can't justify the cost. I may buy a 50mm 1.8 lens though. Not too pricey and great for portrait shots of my child.

Nice shots and camera too! I like bug shots. I think I posted some here some where. I took some shots of box elder bugs last week. I will post some.

thanks! you cat is cute!
here are a few photos of Sugar my blind cat. she was born blind so she doesn't even know it. she makes me laugh everyday.

the black dog is her buddy Bowzer. he is half pit bull and half mastiff and usually kills cats. he seems to know Sugar is blind and protects her.

Great shots. I am about to upgrade to a DSLR. I have used a 35mm SLRs for years and have decided to take the DSLR plunge. Right now it looks like a Canon T1i (500D) but I am also considering a Pentax K-x or Nikon D5000. I was given a Canon 50mm f1.8 II EF lens recently which is one of the main reasons I am currently leaning toward the T1i (500D). Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

I'm not really sure about other Cameras as mine was a gift from my Wife.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to photography but I must say though that the EOS 550D is a lovely piece of kit. It even captures video in HDR.

If I where you I'd do a bit of Googling around for comparisons or check out some photography forums.

Well, since you already have a Canon lens, it'll be good to get a camera that it'll fit on. I have the Rebel XS (1000D) which is the low end of the Cnanon DSLR, and it does a great job. So I'm thinking that the ones above it will so one as well.
