Farewells...

Graphimancer

Skilled Investigator
Sort of the opposite of a new guy introducing himself to the board, I'm an old guy saying farewell.

In the years I've devoted to the paranormal, reading hundreds of books and magazines, listening to untold hours of podcasts, etc., etc., I can now honestly say that I know less about the subject now than when I tackled it.

Wonder and awe at all the possibilities long ago turned to doubt. Tales of the strange and unusual have turned to mistrust of the messenger.

If I stay, I'm afraid I'll become cynical and dismissive, moreso than I've already become, so it's a good time to move on. Maybe at some point I'll even rediscover that sense of wonder that first attracted me to this subject.

Thanks for the high tenor of discussions that take place on these boards, and thanks to the hosts for setting them up!

I hear ya buddy, I hear ya.

At some point we have to ask ourselves: Have those we've adored become part of the problem? Has the mantra morphed from exploration into mere run-of-the-mill vitriol?

If I stay, I'm afraid I'll become cynical and dismissive, moreso than I've already become, so it's a good time to move on. Maybe at some point I'll even rediscover that sense of wonder that first attracted me to this subject.

Whatever this stuff is, it will likely be waiting for you when you return. Or, who knows, it may come find you.....? :D

Hey - Do what you need to do. Who knows what the future will bring.

I gotta give you a great big thank you, for your drawing in your personal report. It was inspiring for me - and I needed it!

Huge thanks,
Wishing you peace and strength...
M!
