article here:
'Okay, what the heck is this?'

I think it has been identified:

eel specialist Dr Kenneth Tighe, who believes it is a fangtooth snake-eel.

He said it may also be a garden or conger eel, because "all three of these species occur off Texas and have large fang-like teeth".

That's not a Croc

This is a Croc!:

That is a full scale model of a "Sarcosuchus" aka SuperCroc

latest

But they are not even sure that was the biggest type of all time:

Which was the Largest Crocodile of All Time?

they think some might have weighed eight ton and been twelve meters long!

And as with most fossils they only have a limited record, so they could have got even bigger!

I have seen reports of gargantuan crocs, I am not sure that I am convinced by them, or that some prehistoric ones have survived, but I wouldn't say it was impossible either.
They are notorious for their ability to conceal themselves and it is why they are so dangerous to humans.

It is not just the Crocodile you can see that you should be wary of.

One thing that Steve Irwin showed me through his TV shows was the Crocodiles ability to evaluate a situation, they are a lot smarter than people generally give them credit for.

Han,
Like sharks until you seen a large Great White's up front all the others a small fry. Similar to killer whales and South America deep caves, aquifers, rainforest / jungles still have some large animals (would not be surprised they have not seen by humans of yet) . Similar to the those large caves under the Antarctic. Pure speculation , hidden micro climate of yesterday world's creature and other lifeforms of the past and maybe even a lost civilisation remains not living.

:)

I also like the opposite end of the scales, the really tiny stuff like these:

Some people are horrified by them, but for some reason I don't find them worrying at all, I see them like tiny caterpillars.

If anything can survive Antarctic conditions it is these little mites or similar.
I believe they can even survive in a vacuum
