This horrific event almost belongs in the paranormal box with it's twilight zone zombie characteristics.

Like alleged alien visitations... where's the intent ? The 'why do this' question is burning on everyone's lips.

Profiling of Stephen Paddock might give us a few clues:

• Loner.
• Anti-social.
• Former accountant / auditor / number cruncher.
• Methodical gambler.
• Possibly an autistic savant.
• Spent $100,000 USD per day in casinos.
• Expert in probabilities.
• Obviously a psychopath.
• Father was a psychopathic bank robber.
• No suicide note found... was apparently planning to escape.
• Close relatives had no clue.
• No apparent links to terrorist groups.
• Was planning event and assembling arsenal years in advance.

Multiple personality disorder... triggered by a change in medication a few years ago ?
How many more defective humans like him are out there and will this trigger a copycat effect ?
On a mission against the NRA ?

Rather than calling it multiple personality disorder, the current nomenclature is Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). By definition DID is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personalities. In addition, individuals with DID have an inability to remember personal information which cannot be explained by forgetfulness or inattention. The different personalities are considered, “alters.” Each of these alters have their own gender, race, and developmental age. They have distinct postures, hand signatures, and very distinctive ways of speaking. “Alters” can include animals, imaginary creatures, fantasy figures, or other personalities. Shifting from one personality to another can take seconds or days. With my own client, the shift took place instantaneously.

LAS VEGAS—More than a week after the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history investigators are stumped about the key question: What led a 64-year-old high-stakes gambler to kill 58 people and wound hundreds of others at a country music concert?

It’s an answer they may never find.

The FBI and Las Vegas police have sorted through more than a thousand leads and examined Stephen Paddock’s politics, finances, any possible terrorist radicalization and his social behaviour. By Monday they had repeatedly searched his homes and interviewed his brother, girlfriend and others he’s done business with.

But the typical investigative avenues that have helped uncover the motive in past shootings have yielded few clues about Paddock, a professional gambler who spent nearly every waking hour playing video poker at casinos. That closeted existence has covered the trail for investigators.

“This individual purposely hid his actions leading up to this event and it is difficult for us to find the answers to those actions,” Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Monday, conceding he’s frustrated.

The FBI has brought in behavioural profilers as they continue questioning Paddock’s live-in girlfriend, Marilou Danley, about his gun purchases and what she may have noticed about his behaviour, Lombardo said.

Possible Motives For The Paddock Massacre

So far, it's the absence of evidence ( in the big media ) for a motive here that is the most compelling evidence that this incident is beyond someone simply going off the deep end one day for no reason. Add to that the nature of the targets ( regular westerners ), years of planning, and the idea that Paddock was some sort of sleeper asset shouldn't be ruled out. Perhaps we should also mention this:

It's still entirely possible this was another radical of some kind in action. The other angle that is prominently missing in these "investigators stumped" articles is his medical and psychological condition for which antisocial depressive and obsessive compulsive behavior appear to be factors, and that often means medications for those conditions. So perhaps we should mention this:

I dont claim to have any answers, But my view is this.

He didnt want to go out with a wimper, he wanted to go out with a bang. He didnt want to be another nobody who having nothing to live for decided to exit stage left.

To verify this I'd have to know which recordings the data for the analysis was obtained from because recorders at two different locations would also provide two different distances. Also the idea that echoes could explain the difference is feasible, but it would require a more detailed look at the audio files. One of the reasons that an echo or data from different recorders seems to fit is because the pattern and timing is so close to being the same that for two shooters to produce the sound, they would have to fire at precisely the same time the exact same number of rounds in exactly the same timing between rounds, and that seems a bit unlikely.

However that alone doesn't invalidate the analysis. It might be accurate, and some of the follow-up suggestions to further confirm the theory are good.

The security guard who approached Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock's hotel suite before the massacre said he heard "drilling sounds" before he was shot through the door.

In an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" set to air Wednesday, Jesus Campos recounts for the first time on TV the night of the shooting.
Campos was wounded by Paddock on October 1, minutes before the gunman sprayed gunfire on concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Festival from a hotel room in the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino.

I guess Ellen found him
