Ancient knowledge, lost or censored ?

You're right. There should be forums for people like that. ...now let me think, where would I go to discuss my 'fringey' ideas...

Just thought I'd mention I was a witness to the Ally Pally fire in 1980. Watched the flames licking the sky from my office on the Seven Sisters Road. A unsupervised blowtorch, I think, was the reason. I have to agree on both counts, here. Moreso in the case of Jeff Stewart; I think he tried...

sigh the return of the birthers...

My earlier link on Michelle's comment regards to Kenya being her husband's "home country" (and not "ancestral country") may make her complicit in the "Obama created" mythos of being born outside of the USA. I also point out (ibid) that the rule is probably a good one.

sigh the return of the birthers...

Thanks for the link. I didn't find it to be about Pres. Obama's birthplace but a story on how he has adjusted his persona (including such claims). Again, like so many politicians (including Ron Paul), I infer it to be one of those, "...well, I didn't write it, but should have proofed (vetted) it...

    Obama on Gay Marriage

I kind'a took a shine to Michelle when before the last election, in an interview with Jon Stewart (I think) she said something like, "...everybody's talking about [this, that and the other] and how hot somebody is [inference Palin],"... "and, I was talking about me!" I thought, as much as I find...

    Obama on Gay Marriage

Didn't know that the US was part of marriage contracts in Canada -- and in my case England also ... interesting. But also glad to hear that Obama isn't wanting to stand in my bedroom now.

    Obama on Gay Marriage

It's legal. I know quite a few couples and the odd one or two who are married. Churches still have it as optional -- but most get married through a JP. I guess gay marriages and churches are like Groucho and clubs... Bottom line is, you shouldn't need a piece of paper to prove that you love...

    Obama on Gay Marriage

Talking of being "camp" and the subject at hand, I wonder what the largest democracy on Earth, India's view on gay marriage is. I don't know, and I may be being a bit prejudiced...but those guys behind her...

One of my favourites from an easy-going smooth discussion standpoint. The guest being an English-born Canadian goes a long way with me too. The "old lady in the road" story rang some bells with me. My father used to tell of an 'exactly' similar story taking place in England (he was a travelling...
