    Ray Stanford - August 29th

I think both Gene and Chris did a pretty good job asking questions and directing the interview. It's as if some of their comments and questions were to head off complaints they knew the forum would have if they didn't. For Ray and others reluctant to post or publish their "data" I would remind...

    Leslie Kean Media

Leslie Kean to take on Stephen Colbert! I look forward to seeing this. I don't normally watch it but I like him, and her, and so I hope it goes well. I have to say I'm kind of surprised that the media profile of the book was high enough to even come to that show's attention. It's great that it...

    Leslie Kean episode

I thought this was a good episode and I will consider getting Leslie's book. I realize she's doing what many in the UFO/Paranormal field do, that is they tell other people's stories. But from the interview, it seems she's doing it the right way.

Weird Phobos Pictures - Any Info ?

It looks a lot like a vertical pole with some kind of wire wrapped loosely around it, photographed at an angle of course. One of the loops of that wire goes through a crater. I don't think a track from something rolling would do that exactly. It also looks like it has a "base" of sorts. But I...

    July 25, 2010 - Rich Dolan

This was an interesting listen. I'm not really into the conspiracy zeitgeist or the history of Ufology, but the conversation made even those topics interesting. Sorry to hear Paul Kimball is leaving.

    July 18, 2010 - David Hatcher Childress

I'm glad to see, from the other posts here, I did not miss anything good by shutting my Ipod off at about 25 minutes in. What I heard was just abysmal, in a C2C short of way. Without you-know-who the show lacks some spine, to put it bluntly. I think it would fare better if Paul Kimball was...

UFO disrupts air traffic in China

Even ABC news, in their short story about the Chinese airport, is using at least one of those photos from April that appear on the ATS board. Their fact checkers aren't even trying, apparently. http://abcnews.go.com/International/video/ufo-over-chinese-airport-prompts-probe-11172511 Do you...

My 5 Favourite Podcasts of all time

Yes, that's certainly possible. I don't believe that the idea of visual illusions was ever brought up in that episode. I'd like to think, however, that Vito's determination to get his hands on those photos would have kept his mind sharp, and that he wasn't just seeing patterns or "cloud-gazing".

My 5 Favourite Podcasts of all time

I listened to the Vito interview tonight. That was a great show! You can tell it was 15 years ago by the total lack of references to email, the web, texting, and terrorism! Weird to hear people talk from a time when none of that stuff mattered that much. Anyway, Vito definitely seems...

    Indian Constellations

Jyotish is their astrology. But I don't know anything about it. I guess you could start at these links: Wikipedia Jyotish Wikipedia Indian Astronomy

Can we not opt out of getting those emails? If not, how do you come back from inactive status?

Man electrocuted by urinating on power line

I never thought that story was funny since someone actually died. Plus, I was very suspicious of the idea that the stream would be continuous from the wire all the way back to the body.

Plane Slams IRS Building In Austin

Except they didn't and it's everywhere. Here's but one copy. If his name was Hussein or Akbar we'd be calling him a terrorist (which, of course, is what he was by definition). But he looks white, so I imagine he might get christened a hero, and reading some comments around the web, it's already...

    Preambles

But it's just the same stuff we already agree with, kinda preaching to the choir as they say. One thing I used to really like about the show was that they'd just launch straight into the interview after the intro music. That was quite rare among podcasts I listen to.

    Intriguing Footage From Mexico 2008

Well it's interesting, but I don't see why it can't be what one of the kids was calling it in the video..a shooting star, a big one. Or maybe I should say that the possibility shouldn't be ruled out since it seemed to have flames coming out the back. Since it was night it makes sense only part...

More examples of why photographs are no longer evidence

Those are very nice pictures, but I thought they all looked fake. Even the guys hands, which were extraordinary, had flaws on the knuckles. It would be funny if I found out that part was real though!

    Anybody know what this is?

Here's two different sites about this "saucer"... One is about fake saucer pictures Another is about the Avrocar but I'm pretty sure the pictures they're using aren't completely legitimate.

Lost - the tv show ;)

I guess you're talking about the good/evil and Jacob/man-in-black conflicts? I don't mind it too much, as I know it's very much a network TV show so I'm happy whatever innovative storytelling I can get. After the season premiere however, I started thinking it wasn't going to be a cut and dry...

Wow. First you think it's jets stacked up for landing...then WOW!!

Couldn't it just as easily have been military? I certainly can't say I saw the lights "attaching" to anything. I saw what looks a shaky camera filming planes at night moving partially in unison and partially not. There was one light that left early on, but that was the only unusual thing I saw...

    Interview with David M. Rountree

I suspect that might have been the point, in a smoke-and-mirrors sort of way. I started tuning him out after while. I don't know why I didn't just turn it off. But I have to say a lot of "ghost hunters" would do well to listen to this interview and get educated a little. Strangely, the most...
