    Substrate-independent minds

Have to agree with trained here. This is actually feasible and sounds more like science than science fiction. ;)

Kevin Smith Show - Dr.Courtney Brown - Base on Mars

Oh good gravy y'all. :p I (as I've said again and again.) ;) honestly give creedence to the spiritual evolution of people. But, the first time I came across Courney Brown my B.S. radar went into overdrive. Oh well, I guess for every Ingo Swann you have to have an Ed Dames.

    NIDS, Utah Revisited

This is one of the reasons that I stay interested in psi research. There is something there that defies the simple reductionist mindset. No, it doens't prove anything, at least not until we know and see more. But, it keeps "Hope" alive ;) that there is more to be discovered about reality and...

‘Remote viewers’ in Nevada help solve California murder

While I agree that only the most closed minded can honestly doubt the reality of PSI beyond the materilist dogma. I don't know what you mean by: If you can't live without "Jewish Physics  ?

    The Urantia Book.

First let me admit something. I know nothing about this particular tome. I always just assumed it was nothing but a bunch of new age blather. But, I came across this book on Amazon by Kary Mullis called Dancing Naked in the Minefield. He's a Nobel Prize winning BioChemist. Interesting thinker...

    Substrate-independent minds

If, and I don't believe you could do it but if you could download some of the information of a person what would that really be? Would it be a conscious being in it's own right? Would it be like a "projection" of images and thoughts and output like a computer? If so then how is that really "me?"...

    Great interview

Yeah, I'm sure it's just me. Seriously I don't misunderstand you. I just disagree with you.

    Great interview

Sorry, I said I would hush. See ya on the flip flop. Time for supper. Or dinner or whatever they call it in your part of the world. ;)

    Great interview

Rick, you may be right in that I don't always read as closely as I should when you start the brain as god stuff. But, look at it from my point of view. Once you call somebody woo woo and discount a honest statement (or ramble in my case) It makes it harder to take anything else you say...

    Great interview

Voyager, best post yet. imo.

    Great interview

Also, and then I'll really hush. I'm not likely (nor should you be and I know your not) to change my worldview and my inner life just because a person I don't know from Adam apart from an internet forum links to studies that are cherry picked to show he's right. We all do it. But, I've noticed...

    Great interview

Also, I never said you created the term meatbot. I wish I could claim it but I can't. That was a term I read on this forum a few years ago now. I can't remember who coined it. But, thanks for thinking it was me cause it's a damn clever term.

    Great interview

brain is responsible for every aspect of the human personality is proven out by medical professionals treating patients each and every day. How silly. I'll have to tell my doctor that one next time I see him. Also, I'll have to tell my health director at work to stop all that silly talk he...

    Great interview

practical application of knowledge in medical science practiced in hospitals all over the world. Huhh? Anyway, let me say this and I'll hush. Often I hear from folks on here about how the mulititude of witnessess that have seen ufo's or had encounters speaks for itself. Human experience...

    Great interview

I'm not a scientist. Well, I am trained somewhat in the so called "soft sciences." But, I do know what I have experienced. Once you have an experience then it's hard to go back to the way you were. Same thing with my religion. It just stopped working for me. I can't go back to that safe little...

    Great interview

Oh now this about atheism? How absurd. It is totally irrelevant this conversation. and being a Christian or a muslim or an agnostic has nothing to do with the conversation on transhumanism. But, it hasn't stopped the silliness. Also, yes it does have something to do with the mind/brain...

    Great interview

That absolutely zero relevance to anything I have had to say. You asked. I answered.

    Great interview

Again, you misrepresent what I said. There are real honest hard researching folks who disagree with your concept of what the mind is. So, no you are not thinking outside the box and I'm not woo woo. As for the turnip truck. I did come in one. But, I rode in the cab. I didn't fall off the back. :p

    Great interview

I said in another post a few of the reasons I reject atheism as a way of life. It made some people mad but it's true. Now, some don't see it that way. No problem. My own wife doesn't see it that way. ;) But, I do.
