Now that we're on the GCN network (The Genesis Communications Network - The Paracast with Gene Steinberg), the next step is to help us get on more radio stations in the U.S.

If you can interest a station, send me a PM, and I'll have GCN's affiliate people give them the particulars. But it's mostly just making the time for available for the shows (live or delayed); they are given plenty of opportunity to insert their local commercials.

With your help, we can actually make The Paracast the most popular paranormal radio show on the planet! But I can't do it alone!

Is there a listing somewhere of which radio stations are affiliated with the GCN network?? I tried to find it and it appears to be well hidden.

    Here's the affiliate listing:

It's way too premature to see us listed right now. They probably won't update this list for another few months.

Gene, I understand the financial realities, really I do. But, those GCN ads are just awful. I don't know what slice of the dial GCN occupies, but I can't imagine anyone I know wanting to listen to radio commercials the likes of which they run. I was never a big fan of the ads you ran before. For example, Tamar at Namecheap frankly hurts my ears (no offense, Tamar!). Believe me, I'm practiced at fast forwarding.

Maybe (depending on what GCN think) it would be possible to make an edited version of the paracast that costs a small fee, but has no ads in it, all-the-while with the free one with ads also available for download

The contract says we run their ads. Maybe in time we can work out an adjustment. It's a little premature.

Just an update: The network likes us, our stations like us. There are also some stations carrying The Paracast that aren't listed in the GCN directory. That's because the network has no reporting requirements.

But we are still hot on the trail for new outlets to carry The Paracast and our tech show, The Tech Night Owl LIVE. We still need and welcome your help. Please start a conversation with me if you can worth with us to spread the joy.

How many stations are you on? Maybe the Star 99.5 in Gainesville, Florida would be interested. Is there a PDF or a URL that I should give them?

Best thing to do is just send them a link to our home page here so they can sample the episodes, and listen to our on-demand player for the most recent. If they're interested in adding the show, have them contact us directly and I'll have the GCN affiliate manager work with them to get us on the station. But basically it's just a matter of having them pick up the signal from the ABC/Citadel satellite at the appointed time.
